I have been testing the oil in two different ways in the past several weeks. Orally, when I hold about half a dropper of oil under the tongue for about a minute. It is not my first time taking hemp oil orally, but the subtle peppermint taste makes it a more pleasant experience for me this time. I aim to support the balance of my cholesterol levels and my immune system this way, and increase the amount of omega fatty acids I consume. I also spread a few drops of oil on my fingers to ease itchiness and dryness of the skin from a bad reaction that raised a painful rash, and I enjoyed the soothing and moisturising effect. As always with this sort of thing, it needs time for it to get into your system. I can tell you the taste isn't too bad and doesn't last long anyway. There isn't really any bad smell to with either which is good. I had no side affects, which is good as others I tired I had a bit of a headache after. So all in all, all good sofar. Read more

The Ecofinest hemp oil peppermint flavour arrives in a filmwrapped printed cardboard box. The film wrap is non-recyclable. Printed on the box are the ingredients, directions for use, supplement information and expiry date (11/26). The ingredients state that there is hemp oil, peppermint oil and grapeseed oil - but it does not state the relative proportions of each. The supplement section states that omega 6 is about three times the omega 3 content - omega 9 is less critical as your body can manufacture it. The oil is in a glass bottle (30ml) and stopped with a glass pipette with a plastic squeeze top. The oil is more dense than some of the other hemp oils I have tried. I can only just get a vague peppermint taste. The predominant taste is of hemp oil - but it is a pleasant taste. The directions for use suggest using a whole pipette under the tongue - this is far too much - perhaps 3-5 drops will remain under the tongue. Omega 3 & 6 oils are indeed beneficial to health as a supplement if you are deficient in them. The current price of this oil is £16.00 which is a high price (over £500/l) especially when you consider the price of mackerel fish which is very high in omega 3 and western diets usually have sufficient (or excessive) omega 6. I therefore will use this sparingly and not daily perhaps in a salad dressing - and continue to eat mackerel. Read more
