I was enjoying this device until nothing about it worked,I know the following.The speaker must be connected to the main piano to work, and select instrument change options., but can also be without it sporadically.( the drum segment is not working and the sound comes thru the app as a clunk) The blue tooth connection which is essential.works well..The color changing buttons on the left do work but not clearly.The speaker doesn't work well but works and I will need some time to figure it out. The main piano bed must be charged by the large cord but doesn't seem to be able to be timed.The speaker does charge and present a red dot if not complete and the white front dots when charged.It needs charging frequently and doesn't hold a charge long.i want to compare it to the other set I ordered, but it is a magic mystery tour that draws you in color and theme wise.The iPad works well with it, and keyboard does not thoroughly lite unless the speaker is plugged in on certain parts of the app. The chord Midi works poorly and does not connect to what the app is telling you to do.I will continue thru as much of the app as I can but I could not complete the instruction course due to the chord pad calling for drumming and then the Happy Birthday song being played in the wrong order of the teaching sequence.,so the app would not allow me to go further. update.....I could only dispose of this app and hope the parts I purchased work along with my knowledge.The app prevented the speaker from working and was nothing useable and a large site selling more instruments.i will try to salvage learning from not using apps but putting my abilities to good use with a product I thought would be beneficial..:(.update..I connected the 3.5 audio cable from my iPad to the speaker and now the volume is completely able to be used according to what you are playing....amazing outcome after a vision quest of exploration..... For office workers, if for some reason you are unable to learn piano with digital piano of those famous brand, this is a good option. The popu piano app has lots of fun to explore. But I will start with something that needs to be improved. 1. I have got some theme color for my keyboard so that the key is not the boring rainbow color all the time. However, in the freeplay mode, the theme color turns back to normal. It would be better if the theme can be kept. 2. the "xiaoxiaole" (sing with the piano), it only allows you to record 1 minute; please make it longer. 3. the price is quite expensive haha Factors that make I love this smart piano: 1. learning mode: the section contains several modules for beginners to learn; at the end, you will be able to play "kiss the rain" with two hands. 2. freeplay: it allows you to play any music you want with different kinds of musical instruments: from piano to guitar, bass to flute, Chinese guzheng to harp. Also you can set the chord pad with different style of chord so that your music sounds great even if you are not a professional musician. 3. Xiaoxiaole (sing with piano): there are songs that already have chord, you just press the corresponding key on your chord pad (maybe the keyboard itself) and sing. A very expensive worthless product. Keyboard looks great, connects to the software as advertised, however the delay from the time you press a key to when you hear the sound is so great that no musical learning can occur. At very best it is a novelty. Steer clear of this product, you can buy something much cheaper and still get the same effect. It says you can plug it in to the headphone directly but very few headphones support usb-c. Maybe if you spend yet even more money and buy their speaker it might work but we are hundreds of dollars in and this product is of no use to us. This is a cute, tiny, midi controller with color changing keys, and does NOT make any sound by itself, it's a controller that can send MIDI signals (over USB-C) to a computer or other MIDI device that will accept an external keyboard. There is a lot to like about it, both from a beginner (the lighted keys), and for stage use to add some flash if a small keyboard is needed (29 keys, 2+ octaves, range a few octaves up or down), plus it's got 7 chord keys that each have 3 variations depending on where you touch them (top/middle/bottom). Keys do not have pressure sensitivity, but do have acceleration detection. Be aware you need a -different- model to expand this kits key range, and the keys are small, not standard size. The only things I don't like are 1) the chord key block is barely held on by magnets and falls off if the keyboard is itself lifted, and 2) if charging/data cable is plugged in (say for use as a controller) there's no way to turn off the key lights. Unless you want to use it as a rather bright night-light, you have to unplug the cable -every time- . Seems a bit nuts. Customer support said they might change that in future designs, but for now there's no software update (or way to do it, it seems). I really enjoy this little keyboard so much. very fun and easy to use, cute design (how cool is that rainbow color design!! I am so amazed, and when you push the keys down the colors change!!), wifi connects super well, the garage band works well with this MIDI keyboard, and it is so portable and light to carry with (I love the bag/box design too! very fancy and cute)! It is great for adding some flavors to friends' gatherings and any other casual social events. It is good for making music with iPad Garage Band, and I like the songs in their app!
