This is the first time I've ever purchased a "portable" monitor and I am more than impressed! Mainly, what I wanted to use it for was to watch "TV" in bed for example as I don't like having a real TV in my room. For this purpose I would say it works decently, as from what I see, it needs to have it's own power supply (my 12" Retina Macbook was unable to run it by itself off of the USB C port), but I look forward to trying it with smaller devices like phones/tablets. Regardless, it works fine for this since I have gotten a longer USB C cable for power. The design is very sleek, I love that it doesn't have any branding on the front and has very thin bezels. The image quality is very impressive for a monitor in this range. I am pretty picky when it comes to panel quality, and for the price, this exceeds my expectations. I'm currently typing this on my MacBook Pro while connected and streaming an episode of a show and it's working wonderfully. The speakers are to be expected, kind of whatever, but I'm appreciative they are included at all! They are fine for the occasional TV show, and the 3.5mm headphone jack or BT headphones solve the issue no problem. I love the size of the screen and the kickstand seems durable and sturdy. Even next to my 15" laptop, the extra real-estate will come in handy and makes for an awesome dual monitor setup while working; not just for media consumption as anticipated. Shout out for including a mini display to HDMI cable, and two USB-C cables in the box. I have always found multiple monitors to increase my productivity when I'm at my desk. However, as an IT consultant I am often deployed to client sites for strategy meetings or proposal writing. My work involves spreadsheets, presentations, and lots of copying/merging of documents. So having a portable monitor (or two in my cases) on the road is enormously helpful. For a few years now, I have travelled with 2 15.6" monitors in addition to my laptop. I use two for my "working" spaces and the third I use in split-screen mode for my email and messaging applications so i don't miss important communications. While I do look like a total nerd, the setup never fails to impress my colleagues and clients. In fact, each time I visit a new client, someone gets so excited about my setup that they ask me where I got my screens and the price and by the end of the day they have ordered at least one. On the last trip, three people ordered screens (no joke). I have used a few different brands of monitors on the road. But last year I switched over to Uperfect. One is a 15.6" touchscreen model which is great for hands-on demonstrations. and the other is the standard 15.6" model. I really like them for a few reasons: 1) I hate when cables stick out of the sides. The inputs are recessed so they don't interfere with close arrangement of the monitors next to my laptop. 2) They are much thinner and lighter than other brands I have used and two fit easily along with my laptop in my backpack. Going through airport security is not that much of a hassle either. I grab all three with one hand. 3) The Uperfect customer service is unbelievable. I just ordered a 18.5" model when the stock was low and they reached out to me immediately to let me know there might be a delay while they restock. I had a few exchanges with them through Amazon and online and they responded very quickly. They apologized for the inconvenience and then it still arrived on time! Now I have connected the monitor to my home office as an additional monitor below my two main widescreen monitors. It is replacing my glossy 15.6" screen. The brightness is great, the text is sharp, and the matte finish is ideal for my workspace since I sit next to a bright window so no glare. I have decided that it works so well for me that I'm going to purchase another for the road. In short, this monitor is great and so is the seller. I was traveling for work and wanted to increase my productivity by adding a portable monitor to my laptop for a second screen. This monitor proved to be an excellent purchase and great value for the price. It's extremely thin and lightweight, and it fit into the padded sleeve in my bag along with my laptop. I was worried about the plastic casing or screen cracking or breaking during travel because it's so lightweight, but it held up just fine after being stuffed in and out of my bag, going through airport security, and being jammed in and out of the airplane storage. Impressive. I used it for basic web surfing and office tasks such as spreadsheets, so I can't speak to the screen quality for media or gaming, but it's more than sufficient for work and not any different from my home office setup. I'm very happy with the brightness and screen resolution. It worked perfectly with just the USB-C connection to my laptop for both the display and power. It's great that I don't have to use an additional power connection to the monitor, it just runs off of my laptop. Setup was simple, I just plugged it in to my laptop and it was ready to go. The only complaint I might have is that it's a portable monitor, but it doesn't come with a case. I was nervous about not having the screen protected during travel. Luckily, I read other product reviews and found that if you contact the company support, they will send you a case after your purchase. The customer service was great and I received the case in time for my travels. It was a good experience working with their support, which is not always the case with Amazon purchases. This company did a great job for their customer, but perhaps they should just include a case with the portable monitor in the first place. But they did resolve it quickly and easily when I asked. I ordered this monitor to use portable with my amateur radio POTA activations. We are usually set up in a park on a bench, outside, or in the front seat of a truck when we do this. The monitor was bright enough to be useful in both circumstances, and doesn't use too much of the laptop's power (It made my battery last about 25% less time than without the external monitor). The monitor is big enough that both people in the front of the truck can see the screen easily, and it is lightweight enough that a simple friction mount can keep it on the dashboard when we are using it. When on a picnic table, the monitor has a great built-in kickstand that holds it at any comfortable viewing angle. I had previously purchased a different 18.5" monitor from the same company that didn't have the touch screen, and once we used this monitor we won't go back. The touch screen makes moving between data entry fields seamless and easy compared to running a trackpad or mouse when in the truck or on the picnic table. The monitor is crisp and clean, and very easy to read in all light conditions. The cables that came with it are adequate, but it would be nicer if they were a bit longer, but for most use cases you will have the monitor right next to the laptop, so the 3 foot cables are great for that. Overall, this is a perfect second monitor for your laptop on the go, or for your desktop at home, and the price is a great value for a capacitive touchscreen that is this responsive. I definitely had some expectations for this product given it was $400 and it thankfully exceeded them! It has a beautiful crisp, vibrant display right out of the box without adjustments needed. Touchscreen works great, it is very light and easy to move, and is easy to plug in and use. It also has a built in speaker that is surprisingly decent, it's better than my phone speaker. The monitor has a good resolution for the price. It is light weight which is easy to carry around. It can be powered too with USB Type C which is good, you can use only one cable to connect. Speaker could have been better. The speakers are at the back side so can't hear it loudly. Case would be good additional too.
