I have always been an Xbox fan, and own a series one x but was convinced into getting one because my son wanted to play Spiderman 2 which was exclusive to Playstation. The Xbox rarely turns on any more for several reasons. The controllers are a joy to hold, especially for periods of extended gameplay, the menu system is clearer and more intuitive, updates occur when you're not using it so you're never stopped from playing your favourite games when you feel like popping on for half an hour and Playstation Plus feels like a far more solid offering than Xbox game pass, and regularly has a good selection of A list games to play in comparison. With plus premium you can also stream games from the cloud avoiding massive installs. This is something that you can do on Xbox, but its service seems to lag a bit more when playing, which is crucial when in a fast paced game. You do tend to find games cheaper on disc than from the playstation store, so if you can, it's recommended you get the edition with a disc drive. Playstation store does however have regular sales on certain games, so there's always something to find if on a tighter budget and go digital only. Read more
