For such an incredibly expensive mobile hotspot router (over $1350AUD), the battery life is underwhelming. Receiving adequate 5G speeds in certain city locations (Sydney achieving 250GB+), but regularly getting speeds in many areas that the $79 Optus or Telstra 4G mobile wifi routers you buy from Coles or Woolworths can achieve. Understandably this may improve as 5G coverage improves across non city areas. Expected at least 12-13+ hours of battery life for a product this expensive, but so far my use is tracking more towards 9-10 hours battery life maximum during my most recent usage of just 2 devices (phone and laptop). A very impressive portable router. It seems to have the same performance and features as the usual room router, but in a small portable package. Although this is a very expensive product, the value what you are paying for seems to match its price point. Some nit picks is that it takes some time to boot up and it heats up, however, this is a common among portable routers I have rented and used. Read more

Purchased the same as it has a network port, unpacked the same and tried to connect to 5G network, but the device was only connecting to LTE, there is no way to force it to only connect to 5G, you have the option to select LTE / 5G , which only connect to 4G, Another problem was that the device does not run on any USB charger, it only accept the one which come with the device which is weird as if the charger give same power, then the router should run on it. This will prevent using the same in the car as there is no A/C power outlet to power the charger. Also as the device will not run with any other USB charger, you will not be able to run it without battery on any other USB charger which is another problem Total disappointment with the product I opened a case with netgear and they advised that the device might have hardware issue and they advised me to return the device which I did.
