In this price range there are 3 mics I recommend and this is the only one that requires phantom power. Exceptional sound quality, for the price obviously like I just said ...almost nothing competes that doesn't say shure or 2035 on it and even then, I'd pick this over the 2035, sound beats it by a hair. Great value in the kit, you get. Shock mount and pop filter and this mic doesn't really NEED a filter the way a beta57a or a Blue ember does. Get this mic, a beta 57a, or a normal 56 with a foam filter, and a SE v7 and you're covering a LOT of bases.
