I purchased this 60hz HDR 2.5K monitor to pair with my Dell 7670 Workstation which has built in HDR display. I wanted another screen of similar size also supporting HDR, which is why I purchased this. I'm outlining my pros/cos as follows. I will update as I use this, though there is one con which may result in me returning the display if I can't figure out a solution. PROS: Deep blacks! When displaying all black, there's very little light bleed and it almost looks as if the display is off. Very nice. Great size and portability, especially only needing one USB-C cable for power and display. CONS: The cables stick out pretty far from the side of the display; a vertically oriented right-angle USBC cabled/adapter would go a long way toward protecting this port and making it look nicer. It's not a true 16:10 monitor as advertised, so it doesn't perfectly match the size of my workstation display. 16:10 will have an aspect ratio of 1.6, whereas this display is actually 1.5 (2520 pixels divided by 1680 pixels equals 1.5). It's not a *huge* deal, but it does mean the letterboxing in videos are slightly different between the two screens. Not a dealbreaker for me, but others may want to know. Also, I can't seem to turn off the "low blue light" which I assumed was user adjustable. When HDR is enabled, the option to adjust color/contrast/etc is greyed out. And enabling HDR after making color changes just reverts back to warm whites. Perhaps this could be corrected in a software update? And the biggest of all: In HDR mode, the display is VERY washed out....almost uncomfortably so when using spreadsheets, docs, webpages, etc; the display just looks like it has a grey film over it and I find myself squinting to see it better...almost like it's doing some aggressive dithering or something. My native display is a gorgeous HDR display, so this is pretty disappointing. However, if I turn off HDR it looks great, I get crisp text, ok blacks, and a good bright white. I've tried alternate cables (hdmi, different USB-C, using the supplied power adapter, etc)...nothing seems to work. I'm going to keep researching this and try to figure out a workaround up until my return period; I'll update this post accordingly. Update 1: A couple weeks in and I'm feeling less excited about this. There are times when the monitor just looks so dull/washed out, and I can't figure out what is making it do this. Colors lose saturation and it gets dimmer, and then will sometimes pop back to normal. Update 2: I reached out to the seller directly, and I am very impressed with their responsiveness and willingness to help. Great product. Very thin and portable great colour with multiple modes. I plugged it into my MacBook Pro and it worked strait away. Also tested it running bootcamp windows 10 and great picture a and response time. So I thought I would try plugging in an Apple TV and it turned into a HD smart TV. it has a small built in speaker that was ok but I plugged in some old speakers with a 3.5mm stereo jack into the port on the screen and it sounded great. no in built in volume control but most old school speakers have a volume control on them. USB-C and HDMI cables supplied so plug away, when using HDMI you need to supply power with the US-C. A great product very happy Read more

This monitor is very nice and delivers what it says it does. However, one thing ruins the whole experience. Once it gets too hot and starts to switch off and on. It takes 30 minutes to 1 hour to start flickering. For that I can only give it 2 stars. Updated: I had to change the power cable (type C) and the flickering has gone but still it gets too hot. Used it for my PS5 while travelling. It is bright enough, has excellent refresh rate, and colors are adjustable. The manual claims that a full function USB-C to USB-C is enough to power it and transfer audio/video. This worked for my Macbook, but that wasn't the case for my PS5. I had to connect a USB-C to USB-C cable for power, and the HDMI to Mini HDMI cable for audio/video, both connected to the PS5 and both provided in the package. Honestly the seller went above and beyond to help troubleshoot some issues I ran into, the versatility of these screens is what I bought them for, having multiple external displays is a game changer for productivity. The 3:2 aspect ratio is king for vertical screen real estate. It closely matches my MacBook Pro Display in color and viewing space after some setup. I used the "Better Display" app to customize them some more and be able to control brightness via my MacBook instead of using the on-board hardware buttons/toggles. If you're looking for an inexpensive solution and don't want to sacrifice usability, these are really good options. MagicRaven stands behind what they sell and it shows, the support was prompt and answered my questions to provide solutions quickly. What I like most about these is that they only require one USB-C cable (included in the box) to both power and send display signals when used with modern laptops. These are the perfect compliment to MacBooks, I tried it on my MacMini M2 Pro and it worked well there too. Highly recommend both the 2.5K and 4K variants, both have strong suits. The 2.5K is really slim and has a glossy display that helps colors pop and can definitely be configured to closely match a MacBook display. The 4K version is a little bit better in this regard, it has a matte display is a little bit thicker but overall is easier to work with in the case of glare because it's not reflective. I found the color accuracy to be better on the 4K version. In terms of battery, I keep an external battery hooked up to my MacBook and it does the job of keeping everything going for a really long time. For the price I wasn’t expecting much at all. But it’s bright and clear, very light and plugged into my laptop with a usb c cable it both powers the screen and drives the display. Inbuilt speakers work well too. I am super pleased with this, especially for the price. At my home office I use two 34" curved monitors so traveling is painful on a single laptop screen. I got this to give it a try. At the time of my purchase it was the best price and now I can say best value of any of the 4k portable monitors. For comparison I have shown the display window on my 4k 34" gigabyte, then the laptop screen at HD video, then the pale on is default setting of 3480x2400 at 300%. Then 200% then I settled on 150%. The last is a 30 sec video of anime on the portable at 150% and my 34" gigabyte at 100%. I think it's great! The case is sufficient. That is how it was standing. The description is accurate in that it has rear mount holes for a stand or wall mount but in my view that defeats the portability. It comes with an HDMI, wall plug to usb-c white and a white usb-c to usb-c for power only, and a black usb-c to usb-c for video. They don't work the other way around. I hope it lasts.
