The material is not thin or thick. The material is not thin like a base layer, so I assume the hoodie is more like an outerwear, but it doesn't have any pockets. That's really the biggest disappointment. I put the shirt on and my hands were immediately looking for the pockets but the pockets were nowhere to be found.
