This is a great package deal; you simply can't beat it for the price. The rod & reel are both beautiful, I have already received several compliments on it while fishing. The combo itself is very well balanced and is extremely portable, the included rod case makes transport a breeze. Carrying case is very well made and has a hard interior and includes a four-section rod sleeve to protect your rod from any external bumps. I bought some affordable sink-tip line to put on the reel in order to get my fly down deeper so I can't speak to the quality of the included line - but I did use the included backing, and it seemed fine. Bought this to begin learning how to use a fly rod and reel. It comes with everything you need to get started. The rod is very light which makes casting very easy. The quality seems to be good, haven't actually used it fishing yet since I'm still practicing my casting. Good value for the money and the carrying case is very nice and comes with a strap for carrying. Read more
