I had a pair of bone conduction headphones that I really liked. They were budget style, not the super expensive ones, but they sounded great and left my ears open to hear what's going on around me. I lost that pair and have been looking for a similar one since then (I can't find the original type I had anywhere and don't remember their name). So I keep trying other pairs like these. Although the fit is similar, just as comfortable and leaves my ears open like they should, the sound quality just isn't there. Even for my everyday use, which is mostly talk radio, podcasts or audio books, the sound just isn't very crisp and the bass response (for music) is almost non-existent. It's passable and will do when I can't have my ears blocked to outside sounds, but I miss the ones I lost that much more because they had the balance figured out. These come with extra ear plugs which is I guess how these are designed to be worn so that the bone conduction effect works better. I don't really like how they sound when I have the foam ear plugs in, but that could just be my own taste (and it defeats the purpose of why I got these in the first place).
