Although G.Skill recommends against mixing kits, I have tried with two identical kits and it failed miserably no matter the voltage tuning I used. Therefore, I think these DIMMs are not worth it. In general, just buy 2x or 4x kits of a lower price as long as they are tested with your motherboard and have XMP-ready. The gain you get from XMP will largely offset the higher price (unnecessary) of a higher base frequency. Read more

I got the 64gb kit as an addition to the same model 32gb kit i already had so i would have a total of 96gb however it was absolutely not compatible with or without the xmp profile as it kept on crashing at all the time. Each kit is perfectly fine on its own but together they are a nightmare. Read more
