Bought this laptop for my homeschooled kid and it arrived in a damaged box. Seems to be working fine though with no issues. We need it for homeschool only and does what we need it to do. We only use it at most 2 hours a day so I cant comment on battery life or long term perfomance. I've never used a Chromebook before but it's not bad for the price. Read more

My prior laptop began losing functionality some time ago, and a bought a separate portable BD/DVD player last Spring, thus replacing the ability to play discs. That laptop finally died irretrievably so I purchased this to replace its ability to stream movies from services which my small tablet could not get apps for using a web browser. And it works fine for those, as well as the services for which apps exist for this device. The picture is great, and the sound works (at maximum volume) fine. This doesn't matter to me, but I mention it in case it is helpful to others: The name it is listed on Amazon under appears to be a complete fabrication. Using the serial number, I found it on the Lenovo website as IP Slim 3 Chrome 14M868 - Type 82XJ. The warranty extends to 10/24/25 (I bought it 1/4/25, so 10 years +). The updates apparently will continue until June 2033, so it probably isn't actually the newest Lenovo Chromebook. At least, that is what the one I got turned out to be. The accessories, the hub and cables pictured were missing from the box. I thought maybe they'd might separately, but they didn't. So looks like that part was false advertising or they simply forgot to send it to me. Either way, I'm keeping the computer. If I could give it 3.5 stars, I would. Computer works just fine. Using it as a light weight "business " computer. Not for heavy duties but mainly brainstorming, accounting, using Googles productivity apps, while listening to music. This is mainly a travel laptop for me. I just need it for browsing, YouTube, Netflix, etc... Maybe a bit Gmail but otherwise very limited. This is not a high-powered laptop. Yes, it boots fast (Chromebook) but you can tell it is not a flagship, which is fine based on the price. Everything I state is based on that price. The screen is great, I would complain if this would be a $1000 laptop. Cam is also fine, battery life is much better compared to all previous Chromebooks I had. The keyboard is good but it is awkward coming from previous Chromebooks or my work laptop. It feels too wide and I need to look at the keys while typing but as I said, use it for watching videos ;) I buy a new Chromebook every two years (and give the old one to family) and I just know, this will be a great travel laptop for two years ;) Read more

After a year, I still like this chromebook. I like the looks, and the size. My last one was bigger and much heavier. This one does not heat up too much, like others, either. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars: the keyboard letters started rubbing off much too soon. If I were not an experienced typist, who knows where each key is, I would be in trouble. The "t" is actually totally gone and has been for a few months. Some of the keys sound "crunchy" at times. I occasionally have trouble with the touch screen and have to resort to the mouse or pad, but it eventually works again. I don't expect it will work out for me more than another year. I'd hoped for more. It is low priced, but if only good for 2 years, that is a hundred bucks a year, and I'd like better. This def is a brand I like. Read more

I've purchased dozens of Chromebooks for clients who need reliable, durable, and capable devices. Over time, we've homed in on the best options and brand. Lenovo has excellent quality at a competitive price. This is the cheapest Lenovo Chromebook option in this model line, and it has a 14" touchscreen. Many similarly priced Chromebooks from other brands do not. This model and the same model previous year stand up to hospital demands. Many people use them, they are used and charged daily, and they get dropped and spilled on and often have to be antiseptically cleaned. I have to deal with Chromebook repairs and see far fewer of these than other brands and only from serious abuse. There are a few things I don't like, but most apply to all Chromebook, like accessory options like protection and connected pens even from 3rd parties, needed improvements to OS which Lenovo can't control, and the fact that Lenovo is a Chinese owned company (I have to consider HIPAA implications). But overall, this model has been the go-to for us for some time. Read more

It is great to have high expectations for something that ends up being even better than expected. I used a Lenovo C340-15 Chromebook for over 2 years and loved it. Unfortunately, a moment of carelessness ended its life prematurely, so I started to search for a replacement. With the exception of not having a numeric keypad, this unit seemed to have all of the features that I wanted, and at a very reasonable price. I really like having a 1920 x 1080 display , which few Chromebooks offer. I was a little concerned about the MediaTek Kompanio 520 processor, as I was unfamiliar with that brand, but the speed and response is much better than the previous unit. The good: Very fast response Outstanding display Great battery life High quality keyboard Light weight Great value for the price Not so good: No numeric keypad One note: When dellivered, the display was good, but not anywhere near the maxinum 1920 x 1080 resolution, which was the default on the C340-15 chromebook.
