It's a really good prop sword, let's start with that. It is essentially life-size, looks elegant, is quite sturdy, and the colour and lines on it are lovely. The grip is excellent, and it even swings pretty organically. It looks like it was pulled right out of an Assassin's Creed game fight, and I love it for that. This is a very good prop sword. It is light but very stiff. The paint and finish is nice and smooth and even a bit shiny. To be picky, the blade edges show the seam edges of the mold and are the roughest part of the blade. One handguard was bend during shipping, but I was able to bend it back, and it looks fine. It looks like it could have been bent being handled before being put in box. The sword was shipped in thin plastic bag/sleeve, loose in a big long cardboard box. The stiff blade handles well, but the hilt feels light and off balance. If you hold the sword with your index finger in front of one handguard, it greatly improves handling and balance. It could be good for play sword fighting, but the foam is so stiff, if you are aggressive, I think the foam would get pretty dented. I think being hit with it hard would hurt. Not as fun to play sword fight with as my 15 yo long thin nerf sword. I wish they still made them. But these are very nice and look much better. Great cosplay sword. Read more

It has a great look, good finish, and is plenty sturdy enough to swing around wildly. Packaging could use a bit more. Nothing was damaged on mine but I think I got lucky because there was heavy denting around the blade end of the box and I think if that had happened on the hilt end, there would have been damage. Looks like a prop sword and not something more realistic, however in most circumstances I think it will pass just fine. Worked so far for me. Read more
