I like this jewelry case. I like being able to see right into the top drawer. I like the polished wood, which looks and feels well made. I like how protected it was in shipping. I like the drawer divisions, which will be useful sizes. I like the liner, which seems well-applied. Wishing the pulls were nicer hardware. Not sure how thick the top glass is, but it doesn't rattle, so it's well-fit. The whole thing seems well fit. Drawers just slide on friction, not on tracks of any kind, but that's common in a small case like this, and there were no signs of rubbing. Yes, it's nice. But I really think I would have paid about half this list price, or less, a couple of years ago. With inflation, it should be a bit more, yes, but it does still feel pricey for what you get. So if you're OK with the price, and the things I've lauded are of importance to you, it's probably a good choice. If you're on a tight budget, I think there are other choices. I have been looking for the perfect jewelry box for a while now. I finally pulled the plug to splurge on a really nice one when my company gave me an Amazon gift card for my anniversary with them. I read every single review on this particular box, and picked it based on the positive feedback, for its simplicity and understated elegance, and for its size and quality. I was really hoping I wouldn't be disappointed when it arrived... And I definitely was not! Look and feel: This box has a beefy and sturdy feel. The wood is solid, heavy, and beautiful with a smooth finish. The wood grains give it character and lovely eye appeal. Functionality: The doors and drawers all move easily and with a high quality feel. They are lined with a soft cream colored velvet (the light color makes it easy to see the colors of the gemstones). It holds all of my precious jewelry with room to add more. I like that one door holds necklaces, while the other holds larger earings. I do wish the earing door would hold small hoops and studs though. But the small compartments work just as well for those. I also wish it was just a bit wider, but my bracelets still fit just fine laying across the largest compartment (end to end), so I'm good with that. Overall: It is well made and should be able to withstand years and years of use with no issues. This will definitely be a piece that will be passed down when that time comes.
