I had high hopes for this light to be my go-to light for my desktop workspace. It's nice and compact as a space saving option, but even after reading and re-reading the instructions, I cannot consistently turn the task light on and off. There are 2 button controls, one on each end of the light bar. The right side turns the colorful LEDs on and off as well as switches modes and colors. That side works fine. The left side which controls the task light takes multiple attempts to finally get it to turn on. Once on, it's easy to switch colors and brightness, but getting it on and off isn't as easy as flicking a switch or tapping a button (or double tapping). The color LEDs supplement the 2 LED light strips I've already installed. One light strip is behind my Mac and the other is under the overhead cabinets. I switch the light to a matching color and can barely tell it's on at all. It's not very bright even though both others are also powered by USB A sockets. For the money, it's so-so. I think there are better options but I'll be keeping it since I already threw the box away. Read more

It has multiple modes. I appreciate how dim and bright the light can be. At night I like to have a little light and if I am making nodes it’s hard to see with just the dim screen light, addition of these to my desk has been amazing. The light looks great, and I like the options for warm and cool lights! Unfortunately, the touch controls are not very reliable. Out of the box, the right control (for the color LEDs) does not work, but the left control works fine except for a few missed taps. Other than that, the angle and light are great, and it was easy to install and mount. It’s pretty lightweight. I was delightfully surprised by the size, as it’s about 43cm (16.5") wide; it seemed smaller in the advertised photos. The screen in my attached photo is 62cm (24") wide. One thing to note is that any animated light pattern from the RGB LEDs seems to be around 30Hz. Overall, I’m impressed with the quality but disappointed by the touch controls. UPDATE: I got a response from the manufacturer within a day of messaging them, and they sent out a replacement with two-day shipping. I bought this monitor light to provide better lighting and ambiance depending on my needs. I work from home, so the additional white/yellow light on the monitor really lights up my desk and makes viewing easy on the eyes. On the flip side, I also game... a lot. The RGB aspect really helps pull in the ambiance during my game sessions and makes me feel like I'm in an entirely different office. The buttons were a little weird to figure out at first. The white/yellow light turns on and off differently, and switches differently, compared to the RGB side. You'll figure it out. Alternate between double taps and long press taps. You can also increase/decrease the brightness of the white/yellow light by long-tapping as well. All-in-all, an excellent buy with no issues. Read more
