Glaring bold lettering next to picture of scarf says Cashmere Wool Scarf. Well, it isn't cashmere and in fact just below that it says it is 30% Australian Merino wool. What they don't tell you is that it is actually 30% wool (of some kind), 53% acrylic and 17% polyester. For the price, you're getting a really good scarf. But at the same time, it should be clear at this price point the material is not going to be 100% wool, merino or otherwise. Now having said that, the seller description is vague and I think it's like that on purpose. I also suspect the description has been revised to "cashmere feel" after other Vine folks pointed out that it's not cashmere and only 30% wool. If the seller would be upfront about this I don't think it would be a big deal, there's a big market for nice looking, wool blend scarves that are well made and not expensive. This one fits the bill so why not be clear on the material blend? LOOKS I got the Wool#02, which is dark gray with broad stripes. It looks very classy paired with my dark gray knit wool dress coat. No tassels and looks like what you'd expect men in a casual office environment to wear in the winter. MATERIAL 30% would blend with synthetic. It feels soft on the skin and is of decent weight. CONSTRUCTION Looks well made, don't put it through the washing machine or dryer. For the price I can recommend this scarf. I gave it 4 stars only because the seller makes it hard to find the material of construction is stuck on using the word 'cashmere like' in the description which can be misleading. Read more
