During the first month or so of the school year, I like to do a "20 questions in 2 minutes" to get to know the students and let them get to know each other. After the first few students, the questions can start to get stale, or the other students start asking ridiculous questions to try to show how "funny" they think they are (middle schoolers!). These cubes give a good number of quick conversation starter questions that will help keep the questions a bit fresher. Most of the questions are good--a few use phrases not as common in the US: "How many mates are in your classroom?" I will definitely use these this year, maybe rolling the dice and letting the student who's turn it is choose the color they want to answer. The print is quite small, especially if you have poor vision. Some of the printing is off-center on the faces, and the font seems to get even smaller for some of the wordier questions. Read more

The only conversation these dice start is one of how bad my vision must be cuz I can't read a single word on these things! Total waste of my $ since even my 10 year old grand daughter can read the writing on them. If you get them...add a magnifying glass to your cart as well. Great concept though! Read more
