I am a flight attendant and have to meal prep and take them with me, all the time. I freeze them, I have put them in the plane oven (without the lid), and I have run them through the dishwasher several times and these are my favorite containers. And believe me, I have been though a few. I do take out the rubber seal before throwing in the dishwasher and I have never had a problem with leaking. I absolutely love these! They actually hold a fair bit and I love that they are made of stainless steel. There’s a small seal around the top that makes sure water doesn’t seep through. I sat on the fence with these for a while because of some of the reviews. The stainless steel is not thin as some reviews indicate. They are a decent weight and the silicone gasket is removable. The first time it was a little work to remove the gasket but after that first time it removes rather easily for cleaning. No leakage and the silicone gasket creates a great seal. They are perfect for my needs. I freeze individual servings of Kitchari in these without the toxins that come from plastics. These are 100% stainless aside from the gasket.
