I cleaned with alcohol pad exactly as instructions state. Used the provided template, attached the magnets. Pressed firmly. Gave it a few minutes. Put the screen on the back of the laptop. I then go to pull the screen out, and the magnets are sliding around on the laptop lid (not adhered anymore). Manually pull the MobilePixels screen out while holding the frame, so it doesn't slide off the laptop lid. Then I open my laptop lid and the screen falls off because it's not stuck on. Put a new set of sticky pads on the magnets, and try again. Now the screen opens without sliding the magnets but when I open the laptop lid and the screen falls off again. Pull stickies off the magnets again, clean everything with alcohol again, follow the template one last time. Same exact result. Am I suppose to JB Weld the magnets onto my laptop? Terrible design. I received my mobile laptop in a nice box with simple instructions and the template for setting up the magnets. Its strengths lie in its size, light weight, and easy setup. I also like how you can rotate the monitor easily. And it truly is a plug-and-play device. I do wish that the portable monitor would slide back behind the laptop monitor a little more smoothly. You have to be careful sliding the monitor in and out. Also, it does drain your laptop battery a little faster, but that is to be expected and not an issue. My biggest complaint is the brightness. It is quite dim! It's OK if you intend to use it only occasionally. But if you intend to use this daily for long periods of time, you might not like it as much. The monitor is dim even on the brightest setting, making it difficult to read small text. Overall, considering the price, this is a good mobile monitor. Read more

If you do a lot of work on the road that is document intensive, this product is a lifesaver. Easy setup on Windows (no drivers to install, no other garbage), brilliant clarity, easy to use. I wish I didn’t have to plug in both an HDMI and USB (some computers apparently don’t) but I couldn’t ask for a more useful product. Bravo! Read more

This is a low-resolution, budget monitor. If your laptop has a high-resolution display (as most do these days)—such as a 254 ppi, 3456 x 2234 display on a 16-inch MacBook Pro—you'll notice a stark and intolerable difference when using them side-by-side, which can be quite disappointing.
