I've heard some people complain about the noise emitted from the RMxxxe. They usually recommend going with their older, RMx model instead. However, I did not notice any noise coming from the power supply, and my computer is right next to me on my desk. Personally, I think you can't go wrong with either choice. I do think that it could be helpful to look at alternatives, though, as corsair is a bit notorious for overcharging. Additionally, only the motherboard cable provided was braided.
