Auch der kleine Pi5 hat den Alfa Adapter problemlos angenommen. This WiFi adapter also has Bluetooth, this makes it not work without extra steps in install. For windows, you have to install the Bluetooth driver first from alfas download page. For Linux (kali), I couldn’t get it to work with days and days of troubleshooting because of the extra Bluetooth radio in it sharing usb resource. Read more

I picked this up as I was having issues with my old and cheap USB wifi adapter on Linux. worked perfectly out of the box with no driver install / further tweeks required on my Fedora 41 machine On windows 11 I was required to install the drivers to get it to work and restart the PC. I just purchased this adapter to take advantage of the capabilities associated with the 802.11ax standard, and despite the official stance that it should be "plug and play" on Ubuntu, I did run into an issue with getting it to work. The fix is pretty easy though. My system is running Ubuntu 22.04 with the latest kernel, but in order to get the driver to load properly I had to disable bluetooth by blacklisting it in my /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf file. For good measure I also removed the two BT firmware files (BT_RAM_CODE*) in /lib/firmware/mediatek/. Once I did that it started working. Read more
