Surprisingly good quality for the price, however the fonts can be inconsistence with them, at least for my set, some of the text on the funtion keys (ctrl / alt ect ect) are off center by 1-2mm, and some of the font text are a bit darker/thicker than others, as if it's bold where other are standard text. Apart from that, the caps feels good, sounds good, so not much to complain for a sub $40 set. Read more

These are my favorite keycaps, period. I've tried a very expensive set of PBT MT3, PBT Cherry, ABS Cherry, PBT XDA, PBT OEM, OEM Polycabonate, ABS AF SA, ASA Polycarbonate, PBT MSA, MSA Polycarbonate, and more... and these PBT KDA shinethrough caps are by far my favorite to type and game on, great sound profile, and great aesthetically with or without RGB. They have a large typing surface on each key (smaller gaps between them), as well as almost no gaps in height so that you can type without lifting your fingers off the surface much... I type fastest on these, and this also benefits gaming as well, making the keys surrounding WASD really easy and smooth to reach, with the number row raised high enough to be easily reached and pressed without accidentally bumping into the letters below them even when your finger is almost parallel like it is when keeping your hand on WASD for gaming. XDA profile is totally flat and allows for a similar kind of typing where you barely lift while moving between keys, but with those I find it easy to lose your positioning by feel, the gaps between the keys feel huge and annoying, and they don't look all that great IMO, especially on boards larger than 60% because it's just so flat. This XVX profile (the actual name is "KDA") also allows the very gentle/casual typing like a laptop, but softly curves towards your fingers so that it feels less awkward to hit the keys far from the center (Number and F1-12 rows), but there's no stairstep feeling between the rows that can catch your fingers like you get with many other profiles... it's a really smooth curve from top to bottom. 3 CONS: - On south-facing boards, with full 4.0mm switches, you will get interference with the 3rd row between the switch and cap. It's the same thing that happens with Cherry profile on north-facing, just inversed. The solutions are to use a north-facing board OR use long-pole switches OR or get "north-facing keyswitch washers". - Something that can't really be helped. I love the font choice and the centered large main letters, but in doing that, it makes key backlighting a bit uneven as the legends are right over the stem of the switch, though it can be solved if you have switches with transparent housings/stems. My photo is using Outemu Jade Yellow switches, and the plate of the board is white, both of which tremendously boost RGB, making the legends clear and even. With a lot of traditional switches or boards with dark or non-frosted transparent plates, you won't get such even results. - The stem housings are + shaped instead of the full circle, so it's a potential point of failure, but it doesn't have to be an issue as long as the material is of quality... So time will tell if any break or not. I have an AKKO keycap set that's twice the price with the same + shaped housings, but the caps are clear polycarbonate which is softer and more flexible than PBT. The set is massive at 189 keys. I got the white set, and I personally don't find the extra black duplicate caps to my taste, but I know many people will. Personally I'd have preferred fully clear accent modifiers or a combo like ESC + Arrow Keys, or maybe some little characters/symbols/animals as alternates for the F1-12 row. Also I think it would be neat if they included more convex keys for the bottom row that match the space bar, you get two in the set (among the various space bar sizes) but it's not enough to cover CTRL/WIN/ALT+ALT/MENU/CTRL/FN etc... But still, really excellent board compatibility for a set so cheap. Sound-wise, they are amazing. Being short and thick, they have a lower pitched sound and a dry/muting effect to the overall sound as compared to average OEM-profile PBT caps and other tall profiles that will amplify higher pitched sounds. XDA and ASA and SA can sound deeper, but any high pitched sound such as the switches returning to the top, will unpleasantly echo. KDA that these are is almost just as deep, but with no echo so you get a really clean sound. This set also exists from XVX (and Akko) in many other shinethrough and non-shinethrough variants, and the KDA profile can be found from other vendors in dyesub form as well. They're all going to feel and sound nearly the same as they use the same original mold, so feel to go for any of them, but for me, this white shinethrough version tops the list! Read more

I got these as a recommendation from other keyboard enthusiasts who have south facing LEDs and found these worked very well. Well, they do not work! The shine-through is so dim for the black keys that it completely ruins the aesthetics of the keyboard. Read more
