I’ve had my Insta360 X3 for over a year now, and it’s become a regular part of my overlanding video workflow for YouTube. The video quality is great, and the ability to reframe shots in post is one of the biggest advantages, especially for dynamic environments like trails or campsites where you can’t always control the angle in the moment. It’s like having a floating third camera operator with you at all times and can be a great drone like footage in places that you can't fly one using a very long selfie stick. That said, the lens design is the weakest part. They're not user-replaceable, which is a big miss for an action cam meant to be out in the elements. You’re stuck either risking scratches or using bulky lens protectors that noticeably degrade image quality. I’d love to see a version with replaceable lens covers so we could swap them out or clean them properly without compromising image fidelity. Pro tip: for anyone using it seriously, max out the bitrate in settings and record your audio externally. Syncing the audio in post gives you much better control, and the final result looks and sounds way more polished. Read more

The camera quality is excellent higher than what I As expecting, i use it for my VR platform as i work in construction sometimes clients don't come to site so it's providing me with absolutely everything, I used it in a a safari trip the results Here also fabulous, you just have to understand the setting and ho to proceed with shooting, waterproofing was perfect , kept it under water without any diving case it's working perfectly without any defections. A big let doN for me was the package itself not as described: - small carrying suite case can't even fit the selfie stick inside. - less slots no place for batterys or charger or any other protective cases. - glass screen protector was not included as the offer is clearly mentioning it .
