These scissors are very sharp and they very easy to use and ergonomic to use. I like the way the handles are shaped, but the finger holes might be a bit small with someone with large hands/fingers. These are good scissors, but probably not good enough to be used in a hair salon by a professional, for a few reasons. They are not sharp enough out of the box. The finger holes have no insert, so they are wobbly, making it is hard to get a consistent cut. They're a little bigger than I'm used too, but not so big that they can't function. They're fine for cutting hair at home, but I wouldn't use these particular shears in a salon. They are overpriced ($39.99 at the time of this review) for scissors that aren't sharp - I would have to have them professionally sharpened before I would ever think about using them in a salon, which would cost probably $30-35 here.
