I got this set thinking the tools might not be super great but I mostly needed beadtray and loved the case. I was just trying to cut chain with a diagonal cutter with no luck. Went into the kit grabbed the little snips thinking it can't hurt to try and boy do they cut well. I was just playing around with fixing my broken jewelry so was not looking to invest a lot in tools to help me with my repair projects. I have since used almost every item in the kit so have found it to be very useful for assembling and restringing pearls and beads and fastening clasps etc. You can certainly buy more expensive versions of everything in this kit if this is your profession, these tools have performed fine for my use.
