Right out of the box this hot-swappable keyboard comes with excellent switches, caps, and has a great typing sound in my opinion. I'm a linear switch guy so seeing that these came with the Gateron Red Pros I was stoked! I've done some key assignments/programming shortcuts already through the intuitive interface. The keyboard is great. This is the first time we bought a low-profile mechanical, and we have no regrets about this one. The only really bad thing about QMK keyboards from Keychron is if you are going to use it with MacOS be prepared to lose the fn/globe key functions. A few examples: - Not possible to use this key to switch Input Sources. - Can't use the FN+right arrow to change the lights on your Keychron keyboard. - Can't use function keys as usual, and then i.e. FN+F12 to volume up, isn't possible. I went through this with Keychron support, and after many unnecessary messages, they have accepted that configuring this key to work isn't possible with QMK keyboards. 3-Stars because users should be informed of this. This is my 2nd Keychron keyboard. I bought the Q1 last year for my home computer. I needed a new keyboard for my work system but didn't want to spend as much as the Q1 cost. The K8 fit the bill. It feels and sounds very nice. Its a bit tall, but I've adjusted to that. I really like the keycaps on this keyboard, XDA style. They look and feel really nice. I've had no issues with the keyboard on a Windows PC. Haven't used the wireless feature. I'd recommend this keyboard if the more premium models don't fit your budget, but the premium ones do feel better to me, and I prefer the flat top of the Q1 over K8 rimmed frame. Read more

If I told u how I truly felt about this keyboard from end-to-end it would take FOREVER. U just HAVE TO KNOW THIS- that *thock* u wanna hear when u press down and actuate a keyboard- this is what keyboard they match all other key oards with. It is the most sturdy, best feeling keyboard I've ever felt. There's not a keyboard that's better than this. I own dozens of keyboards and this is the ONLY one I use. So that's GOTTA tell u something. I bought other keycaps bc I don't necessarily "love" the colors of these keycaps, but I'm too scared to change them out bc they might not look the greatest but together with everything else it SOUNDS and FEELS the greatest!
