This go cart is so fun. It was pretty easy to put together. The racer has a switch in the back to operate at low or high speeds. Once charged, the racer is operated using 2 controls on the steering wheel - one for forward or backward direction and the other for start/stop. There are no brakes. A seat belt is provided for safety. It is an open Go Kart, no doors either. My daughter just turned 5 and does good on it. There is 2 different settings on the seat for less or more room. My two sons, ages 3 and 8 absolutely love it. It was a birthday gift for a little one. He liked the loud horn and engine sounds . The car looks amazing as a real one. Well made from solid plastic pieces. It was really fun and took half an hour to assemble everything together with my sons. The instructions are easy to follow and all the packages have the numbers on it to make it easier to assemble. It has been fun to watch their confidence build as they learn to drive backwards and feel more and more comfortable going at faster speeds. At first my 3 years old was a little nervous to drive down our sloped driveway that is why i like the remote control in use that helps to navigate him. They really like that letting off the gas quickly stops the go-kart and prevents the wheels from rolling at all. This gives the child a lot of control. My 8 years old was waiting his turn to get into the car and then he was impressed how you can change high and low speed, go backward , left and right. He felt himself like a real racer. Also you can adjust a seat size that is why it is a great option for 3-8 years old children.the last note from my oldest one that he wants the same car for his birthday to have a race with little brother.
