Cybershape is a table tennis bat that doesn't resemble anything you've seen until now. It not only has a unique, confident shape, but also an optimised striking surface. Our research has shown that the optimal striking surface for most players is on the top half of the hand. Cybershape's striking surface is therefore larger compared to the traditional shape in the upper half of the blade. One of the special features of the Cybershape shape is that you get closer to the table in a setback, with a whole 6.5 cm of the striking surface compared to 2.5 cm for a round wood. Since the majority of a pro's ball hits (backhand and forehand) land just on the top half of the racket, Cybershape shines the most. The larger striking surface gives you an improved sweet spot and makes it easier for you to control, such as short balls and setbacks. As the striking surface has become larger at the top, the lower part of the striking surface has become 2% smaller so as not to make the wood too heavy at the front and negatively affect the balance. Cybershape is a 5+2 plywood based on CCF (Close Core Fibre) technology, which means that the carbon fibre layer lies directly on the wood core. This gives you more control and can enjoy the fast feeling of carbon fibre. The lightweight and technically advanced carbon fibre made in Germany compensates for the larger wood, so Cybershape does not become heavier despite the larger total area. Thanks to the unique shape of Cybershape, the striking surface is also visually better visible during a service.
