Edited to add: The customer service was super prompt and very helpful. I wasn't looking or asking for a refund but they gave me one anyway and offered a replacement. Since I wanted another feature that this doesn't have (vertical positioning), I declined. If other reviews aren't complaining about running out of charge quickly, I probably got a one-off defective product; it happens. I added one more star for the customer service. Original review: Runs out of juice really quickly, I'm always having to recharge it. It's otherwise really nice, sets up quick, feels sturdy and protective. I'd like it even more if it also rotated, so you could see the ipad in both horizontal and vertical settings (quite a few apps will not show in horizontal mode, and this will not hold on to the ipad even if you try to kinda force it to hold it vertically). But honestly, its inability to hold a charge for a day or use is the biggest drawback. Read more

I have had several keyboard cases on my quest to find the best one for my IPad. I wanted to make a Mini Mac book as i don’t have any need for an actually Mac book. This case is a really really good alternative to the extremely expensive Apple keyboard. Trust me also, don’t go too cheap on the keyboard as I’ve tried everything from the $29 Price range up to this ESR case is the most expensive one i purchased. Pros: Really good Battery life so far, I like how the battery widget will also display the battery life for the keyboard. It’s nice to be able to track the battery life and not have it just die randomly like the others I purchased. The track pad is really responsive, i figured out how to turn on the Tap-to-Click feature and so far it’s been great. Other cheaper keyboards I purchased the track pads would laaaaaagggg which I hated. I only have two complaints with this product, 1st: I wish the screen tilted back just a little more, If I’m typing for work and I’m not at a desk I have to try and find a counter that is higher so its not a weird angle to be looking. 2nd: I have had to retrain myself to type because my fingers bang into the bottom of the IPad pretty much the entire time i type. At first I was really not happy however over time i have improved my typing and the amount of impacts are decreasing with time, i wish the special characters line was its own dedicated line instead of mixed in with the numbers. It’s only a slightly annoyance but if you’re changing the volume a lot you will have to keep using the “FN” key to do it. The keyboard feels very comfortable to type on. I am getting the same typing speed on this keyboard in comparison to my desktop keyboard. This is my second time coming back to this case. The first time was with the white version of this case, but I felt the case got dirty too easily, so i sent it back and went with a folding keyboard option instead. However, short clip videos kept popping up in my YouTube feed that it created a want for the keyboard again, so this time I went with the black version. I just got it in the mail yesterday and I have found that the case makes me want to pick up my iPad even more. I plan on using the keyboard and iPad a lot for work, in taking notes during meetings, jotting down ideas, and just basic typing needs. I feel that if you plan on using your iPad for note taking, that this case over the Logitech and Apple folio keyboard. In my opinion this typing case just offers more functionality over the Apple folio, and just fits better than the Logitech and with the ESR case you can definitely type on your iPad while on your lap. Really solid unit, definitely makes the iPad unit heavier but is comparative to most other reputable brands in weight. Synced the moment I turned it on and once I got used the keys it works really well. My only 3 negatives - finger print marks on the case are a little annoying, wish there were more colours available and I wish it tilted back a little further. Other than that, really happy to not have to drag my laptop overseas on holiday with me. Another positive is the fact that it has it's own rechargable battery so won't drain the iPad's battery.
