If you're looking for a ultrawide monitor that doesn't break the bank (talking about those top end ones at double the price), this is the one. It has the ideal specs for gaming at a true 1ms gtg and 144hz refresh rate (can OC higher but there's sacrifices) packaged with the colour superiority of an IPS panel and 1440p resolution, which is great for productivity. The screen real estate of the ultrawide is great, I never feel like windows are too narrow in split screen like I used to with a 24in @ 1080p. I also colour calibrated the monitor and it barely changed from factory setting which means it was almost perfect from factory. There is an issue with IPS glow on IPS panels but it's not bad on this monitor, honestly I don't even notice it. The monitor controls are very good and intuitive with the joystick style controls. Brightness is programmed to up and down controls so you don't need to go through the menus every time to change it. The biggest cons I see is: 1) lack of the ability to save custom user profiles 2) for the price, I don't understand why the stand cannot swivel (although I'm now using a monitor arm so I don't even use it anymore) 3) The power brick is not integrated into the monitor like others and the cable between the monitor to the brick is not very long. For the cables to route through my monitor arm, I had to mount the power brick onto the underside of my desk. Even when using the stand, the brick barely reached the ground and the last thing you want is a heavy brick hanging by the port of your monitor. 4) I had an incident of the monitor not turning on and the power brick buzzing after restarting my power bar when I was doing cable management. Replugging the cables and restarting the power bar again seemed to fix it and it hasn't happened since, so I'm not too concerned. One thing that's not really a con but was inconvenient was that my initial monitor had a stuck pixel that wouldn't disappear despite my efforts to unstick it. I had to return it and order a new one but no issues since on the new one. Gaming looks amazing but keep in mind that you need a powerful PC to fully utilize the specs of the monitor. I'm currently running a 1070ti and it is not cutting it, Assassin's Creed Odyssey on almost ultra quality runs at ~30 fps. Though games like Valorant can run at max settings with 144 fps. Productivity is amazing as well. Photo and video editing is great with this level of colour accuracy. The screen real estate helps with the work flow significantly (expanded timelines in videos, multitasking, etc.). I definitely would recommend if you're in the market for a ultrawide for gaming, productivity, and daily use. Overall, if this can be found for less than $300 its a large inexpensive monitor whose flaws can be overlooked for the value as an OLED is about three times more expensive. Pros: - Large, approx 100DPI. Enough pixels for many users while placing less demands on the video card compared to 4K. - Supports high refresh rates up to 160 hz with Freesync/Gsync support. - No blatant dead pixels when quickly viewing the patterns on "dead pixel check" while in the dark. - Comes with a displayport cable so its ready to use with any computer/device with full sized displayport. - Immersive for games, and makes half-maximizing by dragging a window to left/right edge useful. - Much darker blacks than IPS. (If you think it looks washed out make sure the test image is actually straight black and not a gray). Dark reader makes it gray. Cons: - Ghosting very obvious using "UFO test: ghosting" especially when following the UFOs. Otherwise its there when you look for it, but it doesn't bother me enough to pay 3x more for an OLED. - Power consumption is a bit high (30w) but that comes with the size. An OLED is worse. - Has a power brick but its well shaped to avoid blocking adjacent outlet. An IEC 13C is preferable especially if used in a work environment (so all cords are interchangeable). It does mean that a failed power supply can be replaced by the user. - The last row of pixels is not dead, but has weird viewing angle. This can make the blue bar at bottom of win 10 task bar items (indicating they are open/active) not visible at a normal viewing angle for the rest of the pixels. Its almost as if the panel is curled down/away from user for last couple rows of pixels. Not an issue with the monitor itself, but would be nice if MSFT would have a 1/3 maximized shortcut. The screen size is good , great for working on multiple docs …. One thing I hadn’t thought through , when you maximize doc .. it fills full screen abd then it’s a bit awkward….. could be a setting thing that I haven’t yet figured outIt prob not the game changer I was hoping for ( not the screen fault , more about my overall set up )My ergonomics is not right and I’m too close to the screen
