This came up across my endless search of men's sling bag. Since I'm traveling a lot more, I wanted something that was able to hold my wallet, phone, face mask, hand sanitizer, portable battery charger, sunglasses, and a couple of teeth stuff for my Invisalign. This sling bag fits the bill and everything just fits really nicely in it. I do like the fact that it slims itself down when actually wearing. I prefer to actually where this in the front as it sits firmly and everything is easily within reach. I saw some other reviews say that the material was too rough, but I'm not sure how delicate their skin or clothes are, but rest assured that the material on this sling is not hard or rough at all. Feels great and when I wore it to Hawaii it got rained on while we were walking and all my stuff stayed dry and the sling bag worked out great. I would say that this sling bag is a little bit more on the pricey end, but you are definitely getting quality with Bellroy. The zippers feel nice and the stitching feels durable as well. For the frequent traveller Pros: The Bellroy Sling family's design is superior to the competition. The unique self-compressing gusset maintains the optimal size based on the contents. The size of the main compartment is sufficient for your travel needs. One has to be realistic if you purchase a 4L Sling Mini; do not expect it to carry 6L worth of contents of the classic Sling. Having said that, Bellroy's design does maximize its capacity. Here's what I can place in a Sling Mini: Main compartment 1. Small Evian water bottle (330ml/11.2 Fl OZ) 2. AirPods Pro Case 3. Travel Adapter 4. 3-in-1 charging cable 5. Eyedrops 6. Smint dispenser (8 g) 7. Small Advil/Tylenol pill bottle 8. Reading glasses (without case). Larger glasses or sunglass will cause an outward bulge Front compartment 1. Passport 2. Boarding pass Cons: 1. The zipper for the front compartment requires two hands to open or close. Due to the self-compressing function, the zip cannot freely open or close without assistance of the other hand to provide tension, or the sling will just slide along in the direction of the zipper pull. 2. The front compartment of the Sling Mini barely clears a passport's or boarding pass's height. It is very likely the zip will catch on the passport and damage the passport pages or rip the boarding pass when you zip the compartment shut. The more things you have inside the main compartment, the more pronounced this effect will be. This was the reason I returned my otherwise perfect Sling Mini for a classic Sling. The classic Sling or just Sling's front compartment has more height and easily contains passport(s), baggage receipts, and boarding passes without catching on the zip. 3. The black colour variant is a lint and dust magnet. There is definitely a difference in texture between the black and slate. The slate is less fabric-like and feels more durable. holds my pocket essentials and EDC with room for a little more. just what I need personally. very durable fabric used. strap could be thicker, but the whole sling is lightweight and comfortable. it's smaller than it looks in the pics, and one end of the strap does bunch up against the metal compression buckle (cosmetic issue, doesn't affect function). and i cant deny its more expensive than it should be, but i still bought it and am very happy with it. I really like the material that is used for this sling but the Sling Mini's main compartment is way too cramped. 3-4 small items and it becomes very full. On top of that opening the pocket is really hard. You always need two hands to open it. If you put a water bottle, that's it, nothing else is accessible after that. This is a good sling if all you will carry is your keys, maybe a cream or chapstick and wallet. If you want a more spacious sling by Bellroy go for the larger sling in the series(the zipper is also hard to open on that one). Read more
