Amazon delivered in perfect order. I was worried i would choose the wrong machine because i read probably 200+ reviews on multiple machines and models and choices which quickly became fairly overwhelming. I settled on the M5 over the Bambu A1, which i believe is also a great printer, because the earlier reviews which had some negatives (no deal breakers by any means) for the M5 were based on early firmware which has been rapidly updated since. I wanted the speed and the camera and the seamless online features that this printer offered, as well as the very positive reviews of later firmware. I also loved the look of it. Reminds me of Star Trek. The last worry i had was some people were saying how loud it is. Not a problem as it will end up in the back room, but due to excitement i set it up instantly in the lounge area, and yeah it really is not that bad at all. At high speed you can hear the fans, like a gaming laptop running a high spec game. It is currently next to the TV and by no means do we have to raise the TV volume and no one has complained about what i though might be a small jet engine. There was also the concern that some said the fans never turn down or off when not printing. I can confirm that after prints the fans do in fact tapper down to inaudible, possibly off (i do not know because i cannot see them) when it cools which is pretty quick, about 3 or 4 minutes max at this point. I also purchased 2 x AnkerMake PLA+ 1kg, 1kg Sun and 1kg Creality filaments. So far only using the AnkerMake filament as 1kg really does go a lot further than i expected. I am still on the first roll, though i expect i will be putting a new one on soon. 3d printing is addictive. Unpacked and followed the manual for a very quick setup. literally under 10 minutes and this was going slow to verify the very few required steps. Inserting the filament was super easy. Started printing instantly. I have not once used the glue provided in the box. Figured i would see if it was really needed. Printing with AnkerMake PLA+ and i have not had a single mishap or misprint. First night I printed a turtle keychain. about 11 minutes. Then printed a bed scraper. about 23 minutes. Then printed 6 x star trek coasters. about 25 minutes each as i set the speed down a bit as i wanted these to be awesome. They came out awesome. I cannot state how amazing this printer is. I have the Anker studio software at home and on work machine. The camera view from anywhere is amazing and i just basically dont stop printing now. When done i message someone at the house to remove and quick wipe the bed and i start again. Been printing bins, toolbox holders, filament spacers for the M5. Printed Samsung Watch 5 charging holder, high speed you can see the picture attached. This came out amazing, pics do not do it justice. At a lower speed I expect the small Samsung writing would be perfect. This took about 1hour 55 minutes if i remember correctly. The Bin in the video attached show the utility bin for the side of the M5 and you can hear the printer fans in the background this is about 2 meters from the printer and it is printing another job at high speed. Actually all the prints have so far come out so much better than i was possibly expecting. Granted i have zero experience with other printers as this is my first. But simply wow. Its fast and so stupidly easy to use. I am now printing my designs created in FreeCad. For anyone looking to get into 3d printing, i can honestly say this machine is simply incredible. The Anker mobile app with complete real-time updates of the printer is next level. The searchable library in the app of existing 3d prints that you simply select and hit print on is crazy. I have bought it on Black Friday and didn't regret it for a second. It is my first 3D printer and very easy to use with default settings. If you enable expert settings, it has tons of customization. For "download from the internet and print" use cases, it is really doing its job. All of the above is for PLA+ filament type. I've had some trouble getting settings for PETG right, my first few prints with that material ended up in the waste bin, but then I learned what to set and where, then it is also good with that material. As for the sound it generates, I didn't find it too loud unless you have 100% fan working. Even when it is on idle, there's some basic fan working, but then you can just switch it off without fear of settings being deleted or something. Read more

Overall, the AnkerMake M5 has been a solid 3D printer. It’s fast, reliable, and produces clean prints with minimal effort. The only issue I had was a buzzing sound when the bed started heating — it was there from the start. Weirdly enough, a couple of firm taps on the surface make it stop. It’s a bit annoying, but it doesn’t impact the print quality. Once it’s running, the M5 performs really well, and I’ve been happy with it. Despite that little quirk, I’d still recommend it! First Impressions. Once this 3D printer reached my doorstep, I was kind of anxious as how complicated the setup would be, but the setup was VERY smooth. The guidebook that came with the printer showed everything you needed to know and to setup the printer. The toolkit was very well organized too! There are also YouTube tutorials incase you need some extra clarification. Once I had it setup, (it took about 30 minutes or so) it's screen turned on, giving me instructions on how to set it up via my computer and phone, and it started aligning itself. It turned out that the software was SUPER use- friendly, and I could easily recommend this to beginners and pros. The printer was sleek, had a nice fit in the house, and it just looked good. My first print went well too with its user-friendly slicer software. 1 Year in. It has been about almost a year now, and this printer is still as good as it was out of the box. I just needed to do 2 routine maintenance processes, which the printer screen gives you instructions on how. It was very easy. The print bed has had some scratches (entirely my fault), but it still prints REALLY well. I would still recommend this printer to anyone. Read more

Vorweg: Der Drucker erfüllt alle Erwartungen und bekommt deshalb die vollen 5 Sterne. Ich möchte gerne den Großteil dieser Bewertung nutzen, um von meinen Erfahrungen mit Amazon zu berichten, um sie potentiell darauf vorzubereiten. Produktbewertungen sollten das Produkt bewerten, für alles andere ist der Amazon-Support da. Kurz zum Produkt: Der Drucker hat ein sehr starkes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und liefert hohe Druckqualität mit vielen Komfort-Funktionen, die vergleichbare Prusa, Ender, oder andere Budget-Drucker nicht bieten. Der Aufbau ist simpel, man verbindet im Prinzip nur den Aufbau mit der Basis, und kalibriert dann den Drucker. Bei jedem Druck kalibriert sich der Drucker automatisch und sie müssen sich nur um die richtigen Druckeinstellungen, sowie um die korrekte Reinigung und Beladung/Entladung des Filaments Sorgen machen. Für den Preis würde ich das Produkt jedem weiterempfehlen, insbesondere im Vergleich zu anderen (auch leicht günstigeren Druckern). Einziges Manko ist dass die beworbene KI-Erkennung nicht wirklich funktioniert. Das war allerdings auch schon vorher klar, wenn man sich Reviews zum Drucker anschaut. Die Kamera ist trotzdem zur Überwachung sehr nützlich und vergleichbare Drucker haben keine Webcam. Tipps, die ich bei meinen ersten Druckversuchen gelernt hab: Die Ankermake Studio Software ist gut zur Steuerung/Überwachung des Druckers, aber nicht zum "Slicen" der STL Modelle. Viel besser funktioniert die Prusa Slicer Software, insbesondere mit dem ACME Preset, was speziell für den Ankermake konfiguriert wurde. Achten sie darauf, wenn nötig "Supports" generieren zu lassen, denn der Drucker kann logischerweise nicht in der Luft drucken, sondern braucht eine Basis. Außerdem achten sie auf die Temperaturanforderungen des jeweiligen Filaments. Mit den PLA/PETG Templates von ACME kann man alllerdings nicht viel falsch machen. Sie werden außerdem warscheinlich Werkzeuge zum sauberen Abtrennen und Abschleifen der überschüssigen Filament-Supports und Basis benötigen. Jetzt zu meiner Amazon-Erfahrung: Das Paket kam an und ganz oben im Paket lag eine etwas beunruhigende Nachricht, die scheinbar ein anderer Amazon Kunde beim Zurücksenden des Produktes in den Karton gelegt hat. Dort wird sich über Macken im Produkt und den mehrfachen Erhalt "gebrauchter" Produkte beschwert. Dementsprechend vorsichtig habe ich den Drucker ausgepackt, in der Erwartung ihn eventuell auch zurückschicken zu müssen. Allerdings konnte ich keinerlei Macken oder Schrammen finden, von denen der Zettel spricht. Das einzige Teil was auf einen vorherigen Testlauf schließen ließ war der Druckkopf. Dort befanden sich ein paar Fäden aus weißen Filamentresten. Der Rest des Druckers sieht nagelneu aus. Für mich war das kein Grund, den Drucker zurückzusenden. Eventuell wird er ja auch wenigstens einmal in der Fabrik getestet. Und solange er funktioniert, habe ich einen neuwertigen Drucker. Bei meinem Versuch, den Drucker dann mit Filament zu beladen, musste ich dann allerdings feststellen, dass er verstopft war. Scheinbar hatte jemand das besagte weiße Filament nicht korrekt entfernt und deshalb war es abgebrochen und steckte noch im Schlauch fest, wurde deshalb aber auch nicht richtig in den Druckkopf gedrückt. An der Stelle musste ich erstmal recherchieren, wie denn das Beladen und Entladen funktioniert, bis ich dann verstehen konnte, dass noch Filament im Schlauch war. Die Lösung war sehr einfach, man kann den Schlauch einfach vom Druckkopf lösen, indem man die Halterung leicht eindrückt, und dann habe ich mit neuem Filament das alte durch den Schlauch geschoben und so entfernt. Danach habe ich neues Filament eingeführt und ein paar mal "Extrudiert", z.B. den Druckkopf "Beladen", bis das alte Filament vollständig entfernt war. Wenn man weiß wie, ist das eine Sache von 5min, deshalb wollte ich das hier unbedingt mit ihnen teilen. Außerdem war der Zettel einfach zu kurios, um ihn nicht hier hochzuladen. Letztendlich kann ich nur mutmaßen, wie der Zettel ins Paket gekommen ist. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob der besagte "2te Drucker" mit den beschriebenen Schrammen wirklich meiner ist. Wenn ja, muss es sich um mikroskopsich kleine Schrammen handeln, die eventuell sogar in der Fabrik entstanden sein können. Es ist auf jeden Fall klar, dass Amazon das Paket nicht perfektem Zustand ausgeliefert hat und eventuell werden Retouren nicht gut genug überprüft. Die Frage wäre allerdings auch, ob der vorherige Kunde sich korrekt mit dem Amazon-Support in Verbindung gesetzt hat, oder das Paket "wie neu" zurückgeschickt hat, aber den Zettel ins Paket gelegt hat, in der Erwartung, dass Amazon das schon lesen würde. Mein Drucker war in gutem Zustand, es hätte auch ein neuer Drucker sein können der einmal in der Fabrik getestet wurde und dort nicht korrekt entleert wurde. Schrammen oder Mängel gab es nicht. Deshalb wäre es nicht völlig ausgeschlossen, dass der Zettel gar nicht zu diesem Drucker gehört, und sich ein Amazon-Lager-Mitarbeiter einen Spaß erlaubt hat, oder der Zettel zurück in ein anderes Paket gelegt wurde. Ich weiß es nicht. So oder so kann ich mir vorstellen, dass die Rückgabequote bei 3D Druckern relativ hoch ist, weil die Leute sich die Konfiguration einfacher vorstellen als sie tatsächlich ist. Man muss sich schon hineinfuchsen und mit der Technik beschäftigen, selbst bei diesem einfacheren Drucker. Ist es dann ok von Amazon, die Retouren ohne das Paket zu inspizieren, einfach an andere Leute weiterzuschicken? Finde ich fragwürdig. Seien sie also vorbereitet und schauen sie sich ihr Produkt genau an. Dokumentieren sie Fehler und kontaktieren sie im Zweifel den Amazon-Support. (Legen sie bitte nicht ein Zettel ins Paket und schicken sie den Produkt ohne weitere Information zurück, denn Amazon öffnet sonst die Pakete scheinbar nicht, wenn sie denken, das Produkt wäre noch neu und ok) In diesem Sinne, das war mein TED Talk und haben sie einen schönen Tag :) Read more
