This is my second time buying vacuums from Ultenic. Originally bought the T10 for a bigger space and it made wonders on keeping the house clean. D6S was what I researched to be the best candidate for a medium size home. It has the same accessories as one would expect and easy to set up. The only drawback is that it doesn’t have a base station to self empty. But at this price point I think it’s reasonable. The collection bin is a good size I’m expecting to clean it once per two cleans. I also had positive encounters with Ultenic customer services. My T10 base station was jammed by a small piece of cloth (surprised it was even in there) and before I found out, the customer service suggested providing a brand new base station. The Ultenic app also makes it easy to use the vacuum. I’ve became quite used to using the app and google assistant rather the remote. When I previewed some of the reviews on this page, several robot vac models appeared to be being reviewed, so ensure you are looking at the right model. My review is for the D6s. I'll compare it to a mid-level Shark robot vac I have had for about a year. The form factor of this unit is similar to all of the robot vacs out there. Some units use different guidance systems. This unit (like my Shark) uses a more basic "hunt and peck" system, which works pretty well. This unit does not have a dust bin on the charging unit, so you will likely have to empty the onboard dust bin every couple of cleaning cycles. The Shark has a bin in the charging unit, so I change that one about once a week. Both units have an app that is fairly similar in function. You can do some basic commands using Googe Assistant with the Shark for additional flexibility. This unit has a remote control that allows additional convenience. Both allow you to schedule times to clean, or you can press the button on the gadget. This unit allows different suction levels, and the Shark does not. This unit also has a mop feature (not tested by me as of yet); the Shark does not. Note that this unit comes with some extras that the Shark didn't come with, like an extra filter and an extra side brush. The latter is worth noting, as I initially thought the replacement side brush was supposed to be attached, and I spent some time trying to figure that out. In reality, you are given it if you wear out the attached one. Construction and materials seem similar. I ran the Shark on my first floor and then ran this unit to see if it would pick up anything more. It picked up a ton more, which was surprising. It not only successfully completed its task, but it also returned to its charging dock without issue. One place that the Shark may be superior is in crossing barriers, as this unit did get stuck on a threshold. All of these robot vacuums seem to get stuck here and there. You will eventually need to move things around a little to allow your vacuum to complete its job. For instance, you don't want charger cords lying around as they can get tangled into these machines. Honestly, this is the best purchase I've ever made. I don't know why I waited so long! This little machine saves me SO much time and energy. It picks up 90% of the dirt (and pet hairs) in my 500 sqft condo. I absolutely love the 2-in-1 vacuum / mop feature. There are nooks and crannies that I still have to get to manually but I run it every few days and my apartment always looks clean. It takes almost an hour to do a full clean and it does have to recharge after that and sometimes the route mapping isn't the best but for a machine that cost me less than $250 and saves me hours of cleaning a week, I'm not complaining. I love this little girl! Very methodical in working... but make sure you remove obstacles so she does her job. The first time, she rammed into my cat's food, so i marked off that corner with the tape provided in the kit.
