Like many of people I've had loads of different hoovers ranging from cheap to somewhat expensive, i very much trusted Henry as the best affordable but that's changed over the years. Anyway I've always had an eye on the Miele but £300+ was asking much at a time when i had bought a similar priced Shark (do not buy shark or Dyson) Finally i was able to take a punt and buy this C3 pet and boy was i blown away. The power of this machine is more than I've seen in any hoover over the years. The ability to turn it down with the + & - on the top with a depiction indicating the current level is brilliant addition. The turbo spin brush works amazing on carpet, although it does get caught up on hair so much i spend more time cleaning that than i do the floor (it's brilliant for hair in the car too) Filters and bags are quite expensive but that's how these things go, just don't expect to get branded ones for cheap. Up until recently i would and have recommended this to anyone and everyone. There's a but.. Even with changing filters to Miele Brand new ones and inspecting everything on this hoover it seems like it just dropped in overall power by like 15%. I first noticed 2 or so weeks ago so i kept it in mind and i then noticed it wasn't picking up in the same way and/or missing bits especially on the carpet. I don't know if this is a fault with the motor or maybe the +/- power level buttons but it's such a shame after only 2 months it's nowhere near the level it was at when just out of the box. Obviously that's ridiculous at this price point. Update: 26.02.24 As time has moved on, our Miele has just gotten worse and worse. I've replaced all i have the option to replace on this machine, cleaned it within an inch of it's life but the power is drastically down, the telescopic pipe has now broken in a way it doesn't lock so i can't have it extended and the standard floor head is just a mess of poor plastic. In addition to this, the already expensive bags are now more expensive and troublesome to find. On amazon they're just extortionate and locally i had to go to Currys multiple times just to finally get a box of 4 bags for £15.99. Think before you purchased. Miele was a renowned brand but seems to fail just as quickly as others do. Update: 11.04.24 Just buy a Henry. I will say this miele has a crazy amount of power but it's not worth the price and trade off. Ours is now pretty much done in now in less than a year. We're probably going to move back to a good faithful Henry in the next week or two. Read more

I cannot sing the praises of this hoover enough. Two years ago my husband bought a very expensive horrible folding cordless Shark. I have two children and a cat so hair, food and general debris is everywhere. I would have to pick bits out of the carpet and feed it to the hoover. I hoovered three or four times a day but still couldn't get all the debris out. As soon as the Miele arrived I put it to work. The suction is amazing, it was making light work of what the Shark struggled with. I have a small three bed home and I filled the first bag in an hour with all the bits the Shark had left behind. I was very pleased (if not a little ashamed!) to see just how much the Miele picked up. I also did a spot check with a flashlight and the strands of hair that the Shark could never manage to pick up were gone. The turbo head was the reason I chose this version of the C3 hoover and it was worth the extra money. It was easy enough to manoeuvre up the stairs and the length of the cord meant that I didn't need to stop halfway through and plug it in upstairs. I am beyond happy with my purchase. We are in a middle of a renovation and we have a dog and I myself have long black hair. Given that there is my dog's hair along with dust everywhere, this hoover is a game changer. We do have a hand held one as well but as soon as I was using it on the carpets, the battery life would drop drastically (from 55 mins - to 20 mins). I do a big hoover on the wooden floors and carpets once a week and now I use the chargable hand held one only in the kitchen and dining area once a day. The suction of Miele is really good. Having versatile heads to the hoover gives you the ability to deep clean everything. With the brush head I clean the blinds and with the small head I cleaned the sofas and with the pointy head I cleaned the corners. You can use the main head to clean the corners as well but I specifically used it on the corners of the sofa and the dog bed which are absolutely hard o reach and clean. I bought this in Black Friday Sale and it was still very expensive for a hoover. But honestly I know I am gonna have this for years ( We used to have Miele in my mum's house when I was young so I knew that I am not gonna waste my money) and get my money's worth from it. BTW, I used to have the dyson one and did not like that one either. I'm not sure i have ever written a review but i feel it is my duty to inform the general public of the magnificence of this product. Previously, we were loyal to a different vacuum brand, whose name echoes a certain large, shaggy danger-cow that roamed the American plains and faced near extinction in the 19th century. However, considering the steep price of their latest model, it felt more like an investment than a simple purchase. This led me to discover the Miele C3. Yes it has bags, a power cable to trip over and you will continue to pay for bags and filters forever but if someone in the household has allergies this thing is a game changer. When i used it for the first time on our lounge carpet I thought that the brush feature on the head was deployed as there was so much resistance, i realised that it was the sheer power of the suction that was stopping it from moving. I could have reduced the suction, however I had not been to gym that morning so decided to embrace the situation! The suction on this thing is humongous! Pros: - Sucks like something from another world! Suction is adjustable from curtain level (lowest) to satan's vortex (highest) - Hepa filters and bags capture the smallest particle. - Has bags that need replacing - but then the allergy sufferers in the house don't need to be exposed to the dust when they empty the C3. - Amazing value for what you get! Cons: - Has a really long cable - a light inconvenience. - You will pay for bags and filters forever - but then again throwing these away with all the micro particles helps the allergy sufferers in the family. - I wouldn't have bought 16 bags with my purchase if I had known that there were discount vouchers in the vacuum cleaner box. I had not had a Miele before, having had Dysons. I am impressed by the lightweight cabinet - easy to take up stairs. And the long wand which can reach anywhere. And the precision of the engineering of the extension of the wand - it feels like top-quality engineering. I like the suction adjustment - useful when on a loose rug. And the strength of suction is amazing! Seems more powerful than the Dysons I have had (the pet hair purple one and the original yellow one). And i like the power adjustment on the unit. It comes with a proper, generously lengthed power cable. All around, top marks! Read more
