I was looking for another handheld vac for the car, as I have been using a Black & Decker 20v (BDH2000PL), but find that the bin fills up quickly, and the dirt often clogs up the basket filter protector, and filter. My son in law loves Dewalt tools, and he recommended this unit. What a find! I could not be more impressed with the performance of this unit, in terms of strength of suction power, and the portability of the tool. It is a bit larger than the BD unit, but the hepa filter does not seem to clog or get much dust stuck on it, based on the design of the unit. Have vacuumed that car 3 times now, as well as the kitchen area in the home, and the bin holds quite a bit and suction does not suffer or degrade. I get about 45 minutes out of my 4AMP battery, and will have to see how the unit performs with the new 5AMP battery that arrives today.
