I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to be in the music scene since I was around 12 years old. I’ve played just about every genre between Patsy Cline to Pantera. Trying to keep your cymbals at a reasonable volume with your hands can be a huge task that always seems to fall short. Baffling discs just add to the footprint and requires extra setup and tear down which as a drummer we all know the struggle is real. These lil beauties are the real deal if you want the feel and response of cymbals without killing the stage with wash and killing your bands ears. I thought for the price I would be getting a product that I’d have to be gentle with. I couldn’t be more happy and only regret would be I didn’t find them sooner. I would not call them a ‘quiet’ practice option (if you live in an apartment block your neighbours will still hear you trying to play like Neil Peart) but they are definitely quieter than regular cymbals. I have been using them with a Drumkit filled with blankets and my neighbours say they cannot hear a thing And the hihats also work nicely as a stack due to their tinny , trashy sound, and their natural sizzle due to the light weight of the cymbals. Lastly, in terms of value, I think it beats anything from the ‘big’ companies, at least in South Africa. Here we pay R12000 for a set of 3 Zildjian practice cymbals.
