The Razor Ornata is pretty great. It's tactile, and an all around great gaming keyboard. Some of our favorite things about it is the expanded functionality of the keys, you can even set macros, and play games in the dark if you want due to the LED lighting. We've not had any issues with sticking or broken keys, but it can be a bit of a pain to clean. Make sure you get the Razer Chroma program if you want to set it up to glow a certain color. The keyboard also has a nice profile, and you can prop it up on two back legs of the keyboard if you feel more comfortable with your hands positioned that way. That's typically how we have it set up when we play games. It seems to reduce a lot of the wrist strain that I was getting before when playing faster paced action games, which is nice! This is an excellent keyboard in every respect. I purchased it after spilling coffee into my old Logitech G510 with the result a couple of keys no longer worked. The G510 is also an excellent keyboard but no longer available so thought maybe time to try something from a different manufacturer. Keyboards are inexpensive but this one comes in a bit above average in cost. Of course, you can pay hundreds for models with brass frames, jeweled lighting and gold plated keys but who really needs all of that? This Razer delivers the goods and then some at a price that makes sense. The tactile response of the hybrid mechanical/membrane key mechanism is outstanding and the customizable backlighting is the same. The keys have a comfortable micro-texturing rather than being the slick-and-slippery kind. There's comprehensive macro editing, sound volume control and many more features. Really, the sky's the limit. A few things to note... When plugging in the first time the keyboard immediately, and without your say-so, downloads and installs the utility software. This could take around 5 minutes and you'll just have to wait. You'll then have to re-boot. The utilities launch automatically and can also be found in the pop-up on the right side of your "quick launch" bar. By default, the keyboard starts up first time with a psychedelic varying background color. If you find this distracting (as do I), simply use the utility to choose a color and brightness you like and make the configuration "static". It will stay that way unless you change it. Finally, there's a deluxe padded wrist rest that attaches magnetically. I can think of no cons. This unit is a class act. Read more

I purchased this to replace my previous Redragon gaming keyboard. And I had very high hopes... But in the end I have mixed feelings. First of all the keyboard doesn't feel cheap. It feels good high quality! It also has robust set of key functionalities. However, the buttons are definitely not low profile. They are in fact so high profile it is a joke to put this in the product description. Second, it is not a silent or even a semi-silent keyboard. The product description states silent membrane switches... which confused me to think the keyboard itself is a silent or semi-silent, but alas it is just a regular noisy tap tap tap keyboard. And last but not least - when you plug in the keyboard it starts flashing various colors like a Christmas tree :-} Now that's cute and all... if it wasn't for the fact that you cannot fully control this from the keyboard directly but I need to download a 0.5 GB app just to freaking stop my keyboard from changing colors every few seconds. Seriously! A half gigabyte app for this keyboard... Razer, please... On top of that the razer installer was trying to push me a bunch of bloatware, but at least those can be unticked. Read more

If you need a simple, comfortable keyboard with numpad and RGB light - look no further. Typing experience is quiet and comfortable, you may adjust the light intensity and color (only a solid color can be applied, it`s not possible to set a gradient tho). The only downside I found - wrist support can`t be attached to the keyboard itself, so it slides freely around your table, which sometimes gets really annoying. Read more

This is one of the best membrane keyboards. The keys are very light and sound decent. They are so light that sometimes you can make spelling mistakes. But overall they are a joy to type on. Lights - Bright enough but they are single zone lights with no individual key lighting. You have to use the Razor software to control the lights. When the computer switches on, they revert to default light setting which is rainbow lights. Once windows boots, they will go back to your chosen color. I could see no difference on gaming with this keyboard or a 20 dhs keyboard. Except that the buttons are really good to type on. Read more
