I purchased the stainless-steel bodied clock and like the design of it. This clock has the flip display, a type of 'antique' in the electronics world. I am not sure about the accumulation of dust inside these flaps and the gears in the long run, but it can be kept inside a glass shelf, it should be alright. The 'D' battery is not very common these days, but yet not hard to find. After placing the order for the clock for AED 129/- I could find the same clock in a couple of other sites in Amazon itself, with lower prices, with little difference. I purchased this retro clock 2 months before as a decorative item in my living room. we liked the classic design with antique finish and big numbers. the time is accurate. well built. in the initial one week, I kept on top of the table, but considering the sophisticated mechanism and chances of exposed to dust, now I kept it in a glass shelf. The first battery is still lasting. No battery included in the box. Another interesting thing is that my younger daughter of 4 years learned the concept of time with this clock. she observes each flip of a minute and will be excited when one hours completes to see the whole set flips down. I taught her that one hour is equal to 60 minutes but now she is asking why the number 60 is not showing after 59. Read more

Very nice clock, the timing took a little while to get adjusted, but now runs accurately. It was packaged very nicely with no damage what so ever. Can be a little loud, especially when the hour changes, but I think that is kind of good, because it alerts you on the time. Would buy again, great product. Read more
