I bought this kit for simple leather repairs to go with my bootblacking practice, and oh my word it's been great. Add a spool of non-wax black thread and a metal thimble are the only things I added to my kit (though the wax threads included are pretty heavy gauge). Snips, stitching tools, every color of thread you're likely to encounter cleaning up boots and harnesses in your local bar. A good rivet install set and you've got all you'll need to confidently say "actually I can fix that right now" every time someone brings a surprise your way.
