The outer case slides on without binding and fits snugly over the ssd and pad The outer shock absorber fits on easily, it will not slip off during use, but is easy to remove if necessary. It also prevents the enclosure from opening accidentally Cons: None This unit is suitable for modest transfer speeds (USB 3.0). That is how it is described, so it does what it should. If you need to house a high performance ssd get a model designed to match your needs. As a basic unit this works well. My goals were to help clone a system drive, then (if the clone worked) to house the original drive as additional storage Using commercially available cloning worked first try. New ssd worked when installed in the computer. I found a black Friday deal on a 4TB ssd and popped it into the enclosure. I can now keep the original system drive in case of emergency I am traveling, and have brought the unit along, with files I might need NB: I was unable to boot from this unit. Reading only negative reviews for a lot of these enclosures made me very skeptical about buying one, even this one. But I really needed to know if my m.2 drive died and I see a lot of praise for UGREEN products on youtube and amazon, so I figured why not? I also liked the grey tones and style of the enclosure, it looks cool :P The outer shell easily slides off with a click and inside is a place to put your drive with a simple rotating thumb 'brace' to hold the m.2 drive down. It comes with a thick short USB-C to USB-A cable and a USB-C to USB-C cable, along with a thermal pad and some instructions. I kind of wish the indicator light was on the "push" side of the enclosure because of the way it sits facing away from me when plugged into my USB 3.0 hub. But it was easy enough to see the lights reflection around my desk, not worth knocking a star over that. My m.2 drive showed up in Windows, no problem. I left it plugged in for about 30 minutes. It never got hot at all and was easy to handle (despite was some reviews may say). I no longer need the enclosure at the moment, but it's good quality and you never know, so I'm keeping it. I have to admit that the enclosure is excellent. I love the toolless design, which allows me to use it like a USB, and since I bought a new M.2 SSD, I need cloning, and it worked great. UGREEN has been my go-to choice to buy all my accessories, and they have been affordable and perfect almost every time, even not just the tech stuff and some other stuff. I have used this with the m.2 SSD crucial p5 plus 500GB, and the m.2 is NVMe I was sceptical due to sometimes UGREEN the same device with the same title with the words being changed around. I hope they can fix that issue so it can be easier for me to understand because it did take a while to make sure it was correct. I happily got it right, and the box also helped, stating what it was. Nevertheless, UGREEN has been great. I also dropped the case on purpose, and the silicon protected it, so that was great, but the silicon made me though that the push button had been lowered on the left side, which made me worried, thinking it was of poor quality but no the silicon played tricks on me. My only issue is that the rubber screw is not easy to pull out, making me nervous because I don't want to break it. I don't think I need to pull hard enough, but I am sure the seller can explain how. But all in all, it is good, trust me, it is good to be happy with this purchase. Read more
