I'm not a massive fan of Meta, and didn't want to like these as much as I do! Are they perfect? Nope! But for this price, its hard to find fault, really. The games are generally good, and there's a lot of them. The monthly fee thing gives you a bunch of free games and a little more, which is okay. We bought it for beatsaber, which the kids love and works perfectly. The good Good selection of games, easy to set up, battery is pretty reasonable, screen is amazing at this price! The bad A little heavy at times, especially for younger users. The monthly payment (an extra thing!) doesn't have *that* much content. I ordered a Meta Quest 3 expecting a new, functional product, but what I received was completely unacceptable. The unit came in terrible condition: the packaging was clearly opened and poorly resealed, accessories like wires and cards were either missing or tossed in carelessly, and worst of all, the headset itself doesn’t even work. It’s clear this was a used item passed off as new. This is incredibly frustrating, especially for the price. I strongly advise others to be cautious when buying from this seller. I bought the Quest 3S from Amazon, sold by Micromini, and it arrived the very next day with great service! As a first-time VR user, I must say this device is absolutely worth the money. The interface is super intuitive, and the overall experience has been incredible so far. The haptic feedback from the controllers is phenomenal and adds so much to the immersion. I've been playing graphic-intensive games like Half-Life: Alyx and a variety of others, and it's been an amazing experience. The only minor downside is the battery life it lasts around 2 hours for me during heavy gaming sessions. That said, if you're new to VR and don't want to spend a fortune, this is an excellent choice. I've been sceptical of VR headsets in the past, partly because the apps weren't there and decent headsets cost far more than most people would expect to pay. But the Meta Quest 3S may be a turning point. Set-up was very easy and fast, starting with scanning a QR code and using your mobile to complete the process. Getting comfortable with headset with straight forward, and so too was navigating the menus and downloading worlds. Tried just a few worlds so far and I'd say resolution is similar to playing on a PS4, maybe a Switch at worst. Very immersive though and feels truly odd to hold up your arms and see that even they look different. All very smooth as well. Passthrough works great but is a bit grainy. Not really an issue though. Just two issues really... One is that battery life is just 2.5 hours but that's standard for many headset. Second is that it takes time getting used to standing still but walking in a world. It feels really disorientating and even nauseous. So maybe that 2.5 hour battery life is a good thing. Overall, quite incredible this tech is now so low cost. Read more

This is a great piece of kit so much fun and easy to set I was up and running within 10 mins and the best thing is you don’t need lots of wires and cables to set just press on button and you are in VR . This headset is basically a quest 3 with quest 2 lenses and display for £200 less... It has an extra button to change between mixed reality and virtual reality. It performs just as good and even better is some cases compared to the quest 3. This is because it has the same internals as the quest 3 but less pixels, so it can run smoother. The main drawback are the lenses, they have to be adjusted perfectly and they aren't as clear. Another drawback is the narrower Field of View, it isn't too noticeable without a direct comparison. When playing games however, the experience is fabulous, for this price (<£300) its worth every penny. Read more
