This arrived as a bag of parts -- no instructions for assembly or electrical hook-up. That's not useful for a lot of people. However, assembly is actually very easy -- Just snap the four slender yellow pieces to the corners of the 2 wider side pieces that have slots for the rollers to fit into [and make sure the 'fingers' are pointing up and don't forget to install the rollers -- gears resting on the screw shaft]. The motor is marked 110/120 V, A/C, 50/60 Hz, CW/CCW and has two unmarked black wires coming out of it. This means is that it's rated for standard household current and it doesn't matter which wire you designate as hot or which one you designate as neutral when you attach them to a plug. All that will happen is that the motor will spin in either a clockwise or counter clockwise direction. The operation of my unit is rather noisy and sounds like it's grinding, but the movement of the rollers is slow and gentle, which is what the eggs need. This roller does not fit in a standard incubator. It is also not set up with a standard electrical plug so you will need electrical parts to adapt it. I never tried the motor since I couldn't plug it in without altering the product and I plan to send it back. Read more
