I am quite impressed with this air purifier. I bought it because upstairs neighbors were smoking cigarettes in their flat. As soon as the air quality changes, the purifier detects the change and starts pumping purified air into the room. I keep the unit in my bedroom, but it will detect air quality changes coming from different areas in my flat; for example when I use hair spray, it absorbs impurities and pumps out clear air, you will see the air quality detector change within a few minutes. Well, true that the room seems more pleasant and fresh. Even a low powered torch shows all sorts still floating in the air.........a high powered torch?. Surprised, and frankly, dissapointed. Our central heating is via a multifuel stove in our living room, it requires stoking twice a day that allows some impurities to be released into the room. and perhaps when it's running some come back from the air intake. This unit senses these slight changes and immediately increases the fan speed to remove any particles.
