First device I received appeared to have a connection problem with the battery, but the replacement I received worked straight away. I use this to monitor door openings via home assistant, and it was very easy to set up. It has both light detection (albeit quite rudamentary, it won't do lux readings but says simply light or dim) and contact sensor.
