I bought this to keep the dust down in the apartment as well as smoke from the kitchen when cooking as the fan was inadequate if using a wok, frying, etc. It works brilliantly. It clears smoke rapidly and keeps the air crystal clear when there's nothing else going on. I leave on automatic pretty much 24/7. It doesn't use much power and if it needs to churn into overdrive it does, getting to the noise level of a medium level air conditioning unit. Support from Levoit was also brilliant in helping me get the unit and sorting out an issue where the special price wasn't being applied. I've been using air purifiers in my house for at least 15 years now. Every room has one, and it has kept me from having to really dust. Being a single father for most of those years, until my kid graduated and moved out a couple of years ago, not having to do a lot of dusting is a high priority for me... All of them are way oversized for what I need, since I have large smart ones in each bedroom that claim the ability to support like 1500 square feet. But I like the smart, wifi connected ones. I also like the ones with the auto sensing feature so they can adjust their own speeds as needed. So I went for features rather than sizing correctly for each room. Thus, when it was time to get another, and I looked around, this seemed to be a good fit without getting models that cost way too much. I have an Air+Health, and an Aeris, both which are like 3 or 4 times as expensive. And neither of which has ever justified that cost in my experience. Especially now that Aeris was bought out by iRobot and the app won't even work anymore... One more reason to go this route. I got this one a day before I also grabbed a Core 200S for my bathroom - the only one I have that is not capable of auto sensing. This one is dead silent on auto. On speed 1 of 4, it's a very quiet fan noise, even from 5 feet away, which is how far it is from my dining table chair. 2 is not much worse, and even 3 is more than acceptable. 3 sounds like many other ones I've seen would be at a lower setting. 4, of course, is loud, but again, it's loud compared to itself. Compared to, say, my Aeris, Winix, or my Air+Health purifiers, this one has the least obnoxious sound level on the highest setting. I like the ability to schedule things. I let it run at a higher level at night while I sleep since the noise will not bother me at the total opposite end of the house. And even if I did her it, at that point it would be white noise, which I often sleep to anyway due to obnoxious neighbors. The auto setting seems to be spot on with the other ones I have that cost three or four times as much as this. I really never notice it going up - until I cook burgers on the stove. Doesn't matter what else I do with ground beef, tacos or anything else, nothing cares. I cook hamburgers? Suddenly the purifiers in my kitchen, dining room, and great room (big open concept here so these three rooms are one large room that's half of my house) all spin up, show red and are doing their best to cope with whatever it is that my hamburger cooking is doing to my poor indoor air quality. And this one does not lag behind or anything. So you're not getting a lesser quality detection on this one simply because you are not spending such a ridiculous amount. My only real complaint is that the display is so recessed on the top. So if you're sitting across the room you have absolutely NO visible sign of status. And if it's on auto you can't even tell if it's turned on or not since it's so quiet if it isn't sensing something in the air and cranking up the air filtering. But the app works, unlike the Aeris ones now, and the unit is unobtrusive unless you REALLY make an effort. For the price, you can't beat it. And for the price, it beats ones that cost several times its cost. Update - I threw out the thousand dollar Aeris since the app stopped working, replaced it with this. Now I'm replacing two Winix AM90's that worked fine until recently, and are having app issues of their own. One I had going without issues for about 4 years, the other was just pulled out of the box at the same time I ordered my first one of these. I have two of the Core 200S' in my bedrooms which I love and are perfect for the room size but I purchased the 400S for my living room & kitchen as it's a larger space. It is situated in-between both rooms. I have it on auto mode and it is whisper quiet. I love that it displays the air quality and can be scheduled in the app which works flawlessly. If you’re after some serious air-cleaning power, reliability & functionality , then the 600s is for you. We use ours to filter a large open plan space. I currently have it in the kitchen, the true Hepa and carbon filter makes short work of kitchen odours. We use ours as mainly infection control, as true Hepa filters are able to remove viruses and bacteria. Unfortunately you cannot see those things lingering in the air, but the other day I was able to test the Levoit to its maximum - as the air fryer had filled the room with smoke! I put the Levoit on its maximum setting and you could see the brilliant air circulation and cleaning power of this model in action. For best effect, the filter should be positioned in the centre of the room. This allows for full air circulation with minimal ‘dead’ spots. I also elevate the filter (on a cardboard box) to prevent the filter from sucking up dust and pet hair etc (which will clog up the hepa faster.). It’s a shame that Levoit do not sell a stand for their models, it would look a lot smarter.. I remove the filter and vacuum it once a month - you can see how much much these things remove - I have even found midge flies inside it - it’s that powerful it is! 😂 Vacuuming the filter can extend the filter life massively - you don’t need to replace every 6 months in my opinion, but I guess it also depends on what you are using the filter for (oil/grease can’t be vacuumed off) Brilliant sleep setting, with no lights and minimal noise. Very good visual light display on top according to how polluted the air is. Green is good, red is bad :) Automatic setting adjusts the fan speed accordingly. Yes, it’s quite big, but you’d expect that for the amount of air it can turnover. Thoroughly recommend this filter for a large space. Read more

We've had a few different air purifiers and I decided to upgrade the one in our bedroom after me and my wife both had itchy eyes and woke up stuffed up for a few weeks in a row. For context, we have two double coated dogs who shed like crazy, we live in a town that is 65% conservation land, IE a lot of nature so there is a ton of pollen, ragweed, etc. After putting this (600) in our large bedroom we almost instantly stopped getting itchy eyes and stuffed up noses. FYI, neither of us have allergies as far as we know but there is only so much anyone can take before their body starts fighting back and even with the other air purifier in the room, it wasn't working well enough even on high. As soon as I set up this new one and put it aon auto-mode it kicked into high gear and cleaned the air within a minute. Having another and larger air purifier in our living room on another floor of the house, I decided that I would replace it, but wait until the filter needed to be changed. Well, after a few weeks I decided I couldn't wait any longer, especially now that this went on sale. So I bought a 2nd one, got it the next day and after the setting it up in 2 minutes and connecting it to the app, it did the same thing as the first one...IE it recognized the air wasn't clean, kicked into high gear for a bit and now has been steadily on low showing 1pm / 2.5 since. Sure it goes back into high hear if we open a window for a bit, or we're cooking, etc but that's exactly what you want it to do. Even on high it's quiet and i know that it's recognizing there is something in the air that should be filtered out and it does it so effectively. I've also done my research and these products rank right at the top with more expensive options on the market so I know it's good bang for your buck., Lastly, it does (as all air purifiers do) recommend that you have at least 18 inches of space all around it. I have mine in places where this is not possible bc I dont want it sitting in the middle of the room. I have owned this Air Purifier for several weeks now and it has many very useful features such as: an auto mode, can be monitored /remotely operated by the VeSync software on cell phone, highly effective with various fan speeds, energy-efficient, lightweight to move between rooms, runs quietly in background and the HEPA prefilter is easily vacuumed every few weeks. There is no odour coming from it and although the Core 400s is a newer model, I'm sure that the reviews for it will be just as high as for the 300s. Like that it has an extra quiet sleep mode with no lights on the control panel. I seem to be very sensitive to the horrible forest fire smoke that we had all summer and it sure seems to eliminate that - and cooking smells from our 1400 sq. ft.home. I believe that my breathing is much better now and that there isn't as much dust around either. This is quite reasonably priced too and the repacement filters are readily available in Amazon. Due to living by a fairly busy road, by farmland, and having an oil furnace, our house gets very dusty. To the point where you can sit in a chair on a sunny day and just see dust floating through the sun beams. After years of trying other purifiers that just didn't seem to work, I finally broke down and researched a better one for a change. One article a read listed this one, and after reading through reviews I thought I'd give it a shot. Overall, this purifier was a good value for the money. We keep ours on auto mode most of the time, and it definitely adjusts based on air quality. We have the unit in our living room which is open into the kitchen. When we're cooking, even if there isn't smoke, the number climbs (second picture), sometimes into the 200's and the color is red. Which makes sense due to the burn off of unseen smoke and particulate into the air. The purifier adjusts speed on auto setting, and starts working to knock the number down and get air quality back to normal within a few minutes of being done cooking. Even when the unit is running on "high" fan speed, it's not really loud. As I said, we use ours in the living room but I don't think it would cause much noise in a bedroom either. As far as the size, it's not overly intrusive and is easy to find space for. You just need to make sure you account for the clearance it needs for air. It's also built well for what it is, and doesn't "feel" cheap. Overall performance - we haven't had to dust near as much, as this purifier noticeably cuts down on the dust. It's a performance you can "see", and that's why I'd recommend this air purifier for the cost. EDIT: Added a picture of the filter at cleaning; I cleaned half and left half to show the contrast. After months of research I got this product...... Initially I tried the blue air 211 plus auto but was not satisfied and replaced it with core 600S and I am very happy now. Pros: It removes odors and its very quiet in the sleep mode and Eco mode. Its not true that its very noisy. In higher speeds its loud as the other competitors. The fan is very powerful and purifies the room faster. Turbo mode is loud because it purifies faster and that its a beast. Best pricing compared to all the air purifiers in the market. Design looks modern and elegant. Smart features are awesome and fun to explore and control. App is perfect. Cons: The touch display on the top is not visible because of the white silver color background. Black color like 400s would have been better. Sometimes I feel the PM2.5 air quality monitor is not very accurate but at this price point its not much to argue with. Filter is not availble easily in UAE. Right now only in Amazon I am able to see and also its being imported. I hope amazon sells it always without showing out of stock. Overall: The best air purifier with lots of smart features and really it does a great job in purifying the air....I would highly recommend this product.
