I purchased this alternate air cushion for my husband's wheelchair. Even though he doesn't have an open pressure sore he has a healed pressure sore on his left buttock that resulted in scar tissue the size of a pebble. When using his Roho cushion, he was intolerant of sitting as he said he felt like he was "sitting on a rock". This cushion has been a game changer for him. No more pain and he is able to comfortably sit in his chair for hours :) He has dense left side hemiplegia and transfers using a slide board. I was concerned that this cushion would be too soft for him to do this safely. I'm happy to say, we have no problems with this, the static feature allows us to pump up the cushion, so it is hard enough to transfer. On the downside, the battery pack doesn't last long, we only use it a few hours a day and it barely lasts a week. Also, the airline going into the controller has become detached several times, the alarm notifies us so it is a minor inconvenience that I am looking to resolve. Read more

This device is a great value and I would have paid twice the price. It does add two to three inches to the height of the subject in the wheel chair which may take getting used to. Battery will last all day. If you have ever tried to cure bed sores then this product and alternating air mattress is a must. Inexpensive and woks great. Read more

This product didn't perform as indicated. The cushion is hard. The intermittent deflate inflate interval, 10 minutes, was way to long. The price way too much. I would never recommend this. Read more

I've had this device since the end of November 2024 and have been using it everyday since. I even took it with me when I went to my sister's house for Christmas. While there has been no drastic change in the pressure wounds there has been a considerable comfort change. I can see that it is also helping with the healing. But now i'm able to sit up with my family during the day with little to no pain. I can't tell you what a gift of comfort I'm it is. Plus I'm extra happy because I bought it at the Black Friday sale.
