I am a high-school science teacher and bought this case to protect my new iPad as I use it in the classroom. It will work perfectly for that application. I bought a new 2021 iPad Pro 12.9 and the keyboard case from apple. After 2 days in class I realized that while very convenient, the iPad was going to fly out of my hand as I talked with my hands while using the iPad to write notes on the projector. I ordered this case Wednesday and tried it out Friday. The handle will keep the iPad from flying out of my hands and the bumpers on the edges will protect the screen from any inadvertent bumps on my desk. I used the kickstand and while it doesn't compete with the Apple Keyboard, it allowed me to type some emails and fix a note without removing the iPad from the case. I am envisioning keeping my iPad in its case Mon-Fri while using it at school and then on Weekends/Summer using the Apple Keyboard for preparing lessons and notes etc. I also like the strap because walking around the room or down the hall, my hands are free and it just feels like a backpack/bag. Fits My IPad Pro 3rd gen 12.9’ perfectly wit a paper like tempered glass screen protector. It doesn’t make the iPad feel extremely heavy the back hand strap is comfortable and gives you control when holding. Only thing I didn’t like is I can’t figure out how to attach the shoulder strap. ****UPDATE**** Ok I still love the case as I previously stated mostly because of the back hand strap helps when using the iPad. one major flaw this design has is when u drop the IPad even if it’s a short distance the whole case comes apart and the iPad goes flying Unfortunate. I’ve used the otter box case for many years loved it but it doesn’t allow me to use my paper like screen protector and it’s extremely heavy, but it will protect against any accidental drops it’s built like a tank where as this one does not.
