I purchased this keyboard because I wanted to free up some space on my desk. I had a Redragon K582 SURARA, and it was awesome. Well built, good price and it felt amazing to type on. I only expect quality from Redragon, and they delivered with the K530. Great Brown switches with a subtle bump that doesn't add any extra noise. Amazing layout, I love the FN+wasd for the arrow keys. Magic FN isn't something I use often as it keeps the Caps Lock activated but for one handed use, it's good. Lighting is great with the white keyboard, looks really nice. The L style USB C is great as well, especially having it on the left side. Bluetooth now works, which it didn't with my first keyboard, but once I contacted support, they got back to me within a few days and sent me a replacement within the week. I would give the first keyboard 4 stars because even without Bluetooth, it is an amazing keyboard, but since support was so quick and helpful, I will bump it back up to 5 stars. Thanks to Skye from Redragon support for helping me out. If you plan on buying this keyboard, I recommend getting an Aelfox wrist wrest. They are super soft and comfortable. Read more

First things first, I'm not much of a gamer, so I can't speak to that experience. However, I type a lot for work and for fun and performance is a key factor for me. My first mechanical was a clicky Logitech, which I rather liked a lot, but I found myself gravitating more and more to the quieter switches. I've currently got Bullet QL switches plus dampeners to really keep things quiet. It can keep up with me (I type fast) without sounding overwhelming to others around me, it looks great, and the form factor is fantastic. I also like the multi connectivity (though I admit I've never used the 2.4GHz) and the option to go wired (and luckily USB-C) or not. The keyboard has been used on Linux (Ubuntu if you're counting), OS X, iOS, and Android. The battery tends to last long enough that I don't really find myself being aware of how long it lasts ;) When it does go back, the keyboard output gets kind of wonky and the red LED on the side that indicates power starts blinking, which I find a useful and reasonable indicator. As far as the keyboard itself, I've found using FN1 a reasonable way to get to those "missing" keys: function, arrows (on ASWD, which makes logical sense), page, insert/delete, home/end, print screen. It also works for backtick and tilde but I always find it a bit confusing as FN1+escape will provide both of those (you add shift to get the tilde). These characters are extremely valuable in the Linux command line, so I'm a little sensitive about it. That's a relatively small gripe given how much is jammed together in such a small space without doing weird stuff like having overly short keycaps. A compromise has to be made somewhere. As for the bad stuff: the stabilizers are a little loud, especially the space bar. This is a mod I plan on dealing with soonish and I'll update accordingly. If you run clicky switches, you probably won't even notice. Oh, and can't comment on the software as I've yet had the need to use it. Regardless of any negatives, the price is fantastic for what you get. If you're looking for a functional and still upgradable mechanical keyboard but you don't want to pay prices normally associated with more custom mechanical keyboards, this is a great way to go. This was my first mechanical keyboard, and a year later I do think I regret buying it. Not because this isn't a good keyboard, mind you, but because I've since realized that there are considerably better options out there for a similar price, and even cheaper. I think this keyboard is overpriced and struggles to compete with other boards out there at a similar price range. Build quality of the keyboard itself is nice, it's very sturdy, there's no bend to it at all. Switches, however, leave a lot to be desired for the price. Quite a few of them have loud ping sounds out of the box and a couple of them feel slightly scratchy when pressing down, although you won't notice it much unless you're paying close attention. ABS keycaps for this price as well seems absurd to me now, knowing how many great options there are out there nowadays with double shot PBT keycaps and such, again, at a similar/lower price than this keyboard. Out of the box with no mods, it sounds very hollow. Again, I'm going to sound like a broken record - but look up some budget keyboards on YouTube and such, you'll find a good few of them that sound infinitely better than this one. Software is extremely poor and doesn't allow you to customize your RGB nearly as much as you should be able to. For example, you are able to pick any color you want for any specific key - all good there, but that's only for the static color mode. If you pick any of the other effects, you can only pick one color for all the keys. You can't customize it any further than that, and I think that's just plain lazy. It's very hard, maybe even impossible to justify the price tag on this in today's market. If you absolutely want to buy this board though, make no mistake, it's a good keyboard. Looks clean, feels nice, all that jazz. I just think your money would be better spent elsewhere. Read more
