Was worried that the knife would be "too good to be true" for the price, but for this price you can't beat it. It looks beautiful and it comes pretty dang sharp. I am unsure why the 1 star comments say what they do. It is well balanced (can balance on finger between the start of the handle and the blade where it should be). My only complaint may be that the knife might be a tiny bit too light so you may need to be careful not to fracture the blade; however, that can be said about many knives that cost 200$ or more. I have worked with high quality knives since I was 12, and for the price this is a fantastic knife for any home cook. As a cook in a restaurant, I needed a knife that was better than the "community" kitchen knives (which aren't great) and this knife exceeded my expectations. The blade is very sharp and can hold an edge, unlike the "community" knives. I spent a bit more on the vibrant handle (mostly because my coworkers have similar knives and because I love the blue coloring), but there are other options to save a few bucks if you don't need the flash.
