Purchased for use with my main computer. Great value for the money. Very reliable. Was able to install the dongle to the previously purchased KVM switch and can use on multiple systems. The use of a single dongle for both keyboard and mouse is a plus. Would recommend to anyone who wants a wireless keyboard/mouse combo. Out of the box it's as simple as it gets to set up. The keyboard is smaller than what most desktops or "standard" size units look like. Mouse is flat and pretty ergonomic for daily use comfort. Now the negative - unfortunately there are some pretty significant issues that I am experiencing 2 months into 5-day work week use (minus one week for vacation). - the keyboard lags often - charged regularly it seem to fall asleep fast and lose connectivity and/or response time to key strikes - mouse falls asleep fairly quickly too so you do need to click it to wake up and have sometimes accidentally clicked on something unintended (not a huge deal but worth noting) Overall I'd say this is at or below a 4, but for the price I couldn't bring myself to knock it down to a 3 - that would be an overreaction for the price-performance of this product. Note: I do have this right next to my laptop, I charge it weekly, it's never been exposed to any physical "harming" elements (wet/dropped/smashed), and it's maybe been used for a total of 20-25 days at about 5-7 hours a day. if you are easily annoyed with these things, you might want to consider spending more on something that has less drawback. I purchased this keyboard/mouse set because I wanted a rechargeable, rather than battery operated, option. Turns out, only the keyboard is rechargeable. The mouse still need a battery. The main issue with this purchase is the keyboard. It is extremely delayed. Sometimes it only registers a few letters out of each sentence as I'm typing, so the sentence ends up as just a word jumble. I tried charging it to see if it was just a dying battery, but this happens after a long charge time. When i used the keyboard for the first time, it was great. This issue has only developed over a few days. So perhaps the positive reviews here are from users who had only just started using the item. Charging is the other issue; when you first plug the keyboard in, a red light is activated. But then it promptly goes away, and otherwise, there is no indication that the keyboard is plugged in and no way of knowing when it is fully charged. I do like the mouse. The click is smooth and quiet and it's pretty responsive. The only issue with the mouse is that if you let it rest for too long, it freezes and you need to click to activate it again. This isn't a major issue, just so long as your mouse doesn't happen to be resting over an important button on your screen (like the SEND button in your email). Although I like the mouse, I will have to return this item, because of the keyboard. Fortunately, I have another keyboard of a different brand that I purchased a few years ago that still works.
